Double Your Trade Bonus on Switch, XB Series X and PS5 Games @ EB Games

210

Good deal to unload old games for cash.

My only complaint is that VERY likely the staff will not know anything about it as it happens pretty much all the time with the EBGames.

Another deal this one:
https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/301933-ni…

Standard switch + 3 games + $200 for a switch OLED with MK8 Digital.

That is a bad for $200 but if you level 5 you have to pay only $99. Possible level 3 and 4 have to pay around $120-140. I think it is a good deal considering that standard switch is hard to sell nowadays.

No its not. My email contained the same deal but its double my level 4 membership bonus

      • -2

Trade bonus for level 4 is only 40%

        • +2

          Thats double the usual 20%….
"Double Your Trade Bonus on Switch, Series X and PS5 games"

  • How do you pay only $99 as level 5?
I'm pretty sure the trade in bonus that is doubled only applies to games being traded in for their own value. Rather than doing the combined deal of the switch + 3 games

    • That is a separate deal that was described in my email. Anyway you still get bonus on top of it regardless. The $199 is the start point for level 0 or 1 (not sure) but any level above it will pay less the $199 accordingly

      • Yeah I just checked, seems they changed how the trade in bonuses work since I last checked years ago.
Good to see, because it used to be that your trade in towards those deals were just automatically set to a certain amount regardless of level.

  • Will I get bonus carrots ?

      Try at Coles

  • Anyone know the trade value of super mario wonder?

  • Is that switch deal any 3 games? Might be worthwhile if can trade junk games. I have an og switch with one joycon starting to play up.

    • They have a list so you can't trade in the low value, crap games

      • Any way to get that list?

        • In the past, people have leaked the list on OzB. Haven't seen any recently.

The way that EB wants you to do it is bring all your games in-store, or rattle off a list over the phone.

      • Not applicable to this deal.

From my understanding, when you trade for a console deal like this one, there is no minimum trade in value for the games so you could trade in any 3 nintendo switch games as long as they have a trade in value of 1 cent each

      • That is right.

    • OG switch is hackable, so you'll get way more for it to the right buyer

      • Not all of them

        • Then is it still OG?

          • @CodeXD: And still not all of them 😂

I ended up doing the trade. Had 3 complete junk games and another 3 that were middling. Only had to pay $120 for the upgrade. My joycons were toast. Good upgrade for me. Basically got $280 for old switch with 3 bad games. Then got $79 for 3 pretty average games. Then had to put $120 in. To get to the $479. The MarioKart8 code was a great bonus. Have the physical copy but we also have a lite so now we can play across consoles.

So for $50/$100 (level 5/4), my launch day ps5 and 3 games I can get a brand new slim ps5. That's pretty good

    https://c1-ebgames.eb-cdn.com.au/merchandising/images/packsh….

    Edit. Nevermind. Not on consoles.

    • It's $144 after level V though?

      • My mistake. This offer is only on games. So you should be getting an extra $125 for your PS5 (500x.0.25).

        $299-$125= $174.

So you're going to be $174 out of pocket.

        • Don't really know what the calculation is, but the Level V deal email I got is $144 post trade in, so the games may be priced higher as well as part of the deal.

is it just games or consoles are included as well?

    • +1

It says valid on games. Don't know why people think it includes consoles, unless anyone has actually confirmed it.

  • I don’t get it, can someone please explain it? Does this just mean trade in credit, or does it reduce the cost of consoles too? Sorry, just not sure.

    • Yes. So if a game was worth $10, you'll now get $14 or $15 (level 4 and 5) of trade credit and you can use that credit towards anything.

      • Ah okay, thanks heaps for the reply :)

    • +1

      There are two deals.

Deal 1 - double trade credit for games. So a $10 games nets you $15 if you are level 5.

Deal 2 - Switch trade in. You don't get the double trade credit for games here, but you get 25% more on the overall trade in if you are level 5.

Edit: Level 5 is $99 top up

      • Deal 1 - double trade credit for games. So a $10 games nets you $15 if you are level 5.

If it is double trade credit then isn't a $10 game worth $20 credit?

        • +1

It means double your bonus trade credit.

For example, a Level V member would normally get 25% bonus trade credit - in this promo, they would get 50% bonus trade credit.

      • Thanks for the reply, and the info. :)

  • Whenever they run the trade bonus deals they usually drop trade values a few days before.
    Beware.
    It’s reverse Jack

  • If you have an 1st gen Switch that can be hacked, worth ebay'd it rather than trade to EB.

I love that they have this every year at this time, as it ties in with my birthday 50% too. Last year I made good money on this so will have to see what I have left that needs trading in.

    • Mine was in November. I stacked 25% + 50%. Great deal

  • If anyone needs a Level 5 boost, DM me.
