Kmart True Wireless Earbuds Real World Reviews

I’m after real world reviews on the Kmart $30 True Wireless Earbuds

I use AirPods Pro 2 as my regulars with an iPhone and iPad, but have found my Windows laptop won’t automatically reconnect after I switch to the iPhone or iPad for a call or video. I’m mostly going to use them for Zoom/Teams, with occasional music, videos and gaming, so they don’t need to be as good as AirPods (not expecting anything sub $50 to be as good) but also not literal trash like The Reject Shops wireless earphones.

Also, if there’s any other wireless earbuds you can recommend with 7+ hours of use time without the case and good quality audio for under $60 (including sale prices) I’d be interested. Thanks heaps!

Anker soundcore are the budget buds of choice. I wouldn't bother with anything kmart offer

    • oh cool, I posted about Soundcore by Anker at the same time! ^5

I have the Soundcore by Anker series - P2 and I think it's not bad and has lasted me quite long now (don't use it everyday, use when out on the road for work or travelling domestically - which is at least once every month) - https://au.soundcore.com/collections/true-wireless-earbuds
You can see the other models they have and the lowest start from only $29.99.

Windows laptop won’t automatically reconnect after I switch

On windows press windows key + K then select your AirPods

    • It brings up the "Cast to display" menu and not anything to do with Bluetooth audio

      • Weird… on windows 10 it says

        Connect
search for wireless display and audio devices

Then has my Galaxy Buds2 Pro listed for me to connect

        • Ah, I'm on 11 Pro

any other wireless earbuds you can recommend

I'll personally recommend the ones from QCY. Check out user comments and reviews on OzB and other sites. E.G. T13, T2C

I don't see why you would buy the generics from Kmart when branded ones, or somewhat already-established brands on Amazon cost the same (or not really much more).

e.g Anker Soundcore P2, Moondrop Space Travel TWS, Liberty 2 Pro, QCY T13

    • Because I forgot I have free Prime for a month aha

I look at these things differently. I have Senheisser and Sony for inside the house, office or commuting. I use cheap Aliexpress and Kmart ones for lawn mowing, riding my bike, fishing etc. My logic is I have the good quality more costly ones for times that I want the best quality music and I'm pretty sure I won't lose or damage them. For activities where the risk of damage or loss goes up I go cheap.
Saying that, there is a low sound quality limit I won't go under and I have found that some of the really cheap ones just sound so bad I'd rather stick crickets in my ears.

    • Not to mention that these (assuming Zoom/Teams is for work) can be made tax deductible

      • Short answer, no unfortunately

        • Why not Tax Deductable?
I can't see how it could be treated any different to any other device used for work.

    • I am genuinely surprised I haven't lost or damaged my AirPods yet

  • If you want to trash the planet buy kmart, 'most' of their stuff is utter garbage and ends up in landfill quickly, also means you have to waste money buying the same items over and over again

    • Alright, alright - you had me at “trash the planet”

No need for the hard sell
