Can Anyone Recommend The ALDI Ukulele $30 or The Kmart $15 Version?

As per title, are they any good? what's your experience with them? No real reviews that I could find

how bad could it be really

    • Precisely what I'm trying to figure out!
and whether the upcoming special buy is twice as good as the Kmart version

As bad as a $995 concert ukulele.

I have one of those elcheapo ukulele. I think I bought it for $20 new a while ago. The thing is, the ukulele needed to be re-tuned almost everyday. I am not sure whether it is the strings or the ukulele itself. I got sick of retuning it everyday and gave up trying to learn to play it after a while.

      • Is that like superglue? What do I do with it?

It's for stopping screws from moving. If you ever unscrew something you've bought (can be a laptop, fridge, even a tv remote) and find some dried paste on the screw that you had to crack before the screw came out, that's pretty much Loctite.

The common one requires a fair bit of force to undo. There's another type that needs to be baked or drilled out. Careful which you get

          as post below

get the purple one, it's the least strength. blue is a little stronger, red is too strong for your application

@bdl: Far out, it's $16 at SCA, $15.50 at Bunnos… More than the Kmart ukulele!
Now I need a deal on the loctite or for someone to say if the Aldi ukulele is better and doesn't need the extra purchase to operate.

It's because the tuner pegs are garbage. Not much you can do about it but at least you'll get good at tuning the uke.

Yep, stringed instruments do be like that.

    • Oh ok, I guess that's the reality of string instruments? I thought it was because the ukulele was cheap. Lol.

Both are fine if you're just learning how to play it.
