Table for Portable Pizza Ovens (Ooni, etc)

Interested to know what sort of set up people are using for their portable gas pizza ovens. Treated myself one of them for Christmas, but not sure how to go about creating a space to set it up on my back deck.

I'm imagining most would have a table of some sort with a bottom shelf to sit the gas bottle on, but I could be wrong. Please share what you've used and if possible any links to purchase them online! I'm going to head to bunnings and local outdoor furniture stores this week, so having a bit more of a clear image of what might be suitable would be great.

I've got the wood fired one and built a custom stand out of pallet timber and some scrap framing timber.

(I also built a custom shed because I use it on an open paved area and pack it away afterwards.)

We've been using the Stadler dough recipe - so good! https://www.stadlermade.com/how-to-make-neapolitan-style-piz…

    • Thank you! That recipe looks great!

  • could you try your luck with a bbq stand/trolley?

  • I bought a stainless steel flat packed bench, with shelf for my BBQ, from eBay. Didn't have room to put it away, so it stays outside. Had it now for 18 years, good as gold.Would be perfect for your use.

Seen a few people using the Ikea Grillskar table or an SS table from Vevor.

I've got the Ikea BROR trolley for my Karu 12" which works great - but not sure if there'd be room for a gas bottle and the size probably bit small for the 16".

FYI you don't need a heatproof stand as not much heat escapes downwards
We use our Gozney on a glasstop table but something like an outdoor side table would be more elegant

    • That's good to know! Thank you

      • I tried my Thomson Scenium on a plastic table… it does get hot underneath. It's similar to an Ooni Kona.
