Does anyone else find this email from Qantas very confusing?

why mention 1 million in any sentence when you are not entitled to it,
what if 1,000,000 people sign up we get screwed over with 1 point each instead of quoted 10,000 ?

Rant aside I might consider buy the 20,000 points for $240
