AliExpress Dispute Resolution Process

I received an AliExpress order that had the incorrect items in it, it looks like a mix-up as opposed to a scam as the value of the items I received looks to be similar or greater than what I actually ordered, so I opened a dispute but I am not 100% sure I am correctly following what they are saying, based on the pics linked below, is it saying the Ali is recommending no refund, but the seller has rejected the recommendation? If so, what is the process from here?

update, for clarity I ordered 1 item and received 3 other items. From the options of "Items received in full or partial" and "package not received" I chose the first as it seemed the best fit, not sure was the right one or not though.

The initial response I received was 1.Please provide clear picture of the outer package, include the tracking number and parcel weight. 2.Please tear the logistics paper on the package carefully and then you can see there have another paper, that can show us the receiver name Which I did, there wasn't a separate label under the Auspost one though so I wonder if this might have been an Auspost stuff up.

  • Did you pay with PayPal
Just dispute via PayPal if you did.
Got stooged by oclean store some months back and PayPal found in my favour no problem.

Ali was no help in the dispute process.

sure, but you only get to do that once.

  • Very odd. I've disputed with AliExpress half a dozen times now (for defective product or wrong spec) and they've always fallen my way to the point where the seller usually doesn't bother adding evidence or challenging the dispute.

It looks like Ali has said they've reviewed it and said that they will not give a refund, and you (the buyer) are challenging it.

Are you requesting full refund, or partial? If partial, what %?

    • yeah, I've disputed with them before and they have been more than fine, I have updated the post with some more details, but I am requesting a full refund. For some reason I had read it as the seller rejecting, not the buyer, makes a little bit more sense now.

  • I'll assume you pushed for a full refund? If some of the items are correct you'll have a far better chance with partial.

    • Yeah, full refund as there was only 1 item in my order and it was missing.

Aliexpress is crap for refunds. The seller always pushes for no refund and aliexpress will rule with some pittance refund.

I had the wrong colour shipped for an item. Was a $250 item with shipping etc, the seller was refusing a replacement or a refund!!?? WHAT?

The messages say whoops sent the wrong colour, sorry won't replace or refund. Aliexpress ruled, here I was thinking it was a slam dunk case, I got $50 back! What a joke!

    • its definitely the thing that will eventually drive me off the platform…dispute resolution process is a (profanity) joke!

Agreed… Generally I rarely have issues with orders, but when you do, its a total shit show. In this case, sure I had the product. But it wasn't the colour I ordered/wanted.

This wasn't my fault, but the sellers. So why do I have to wear the costs!

Generally if ebay is within a reason amount, I'll order from them. No issues there with crappy sellers and refunds.

For anyone playing along, the latest solution is for a full refund, due to the Chinglish, I'm not banking on it just yet though.

    • just respond: FULL REFUND ME!!!
      theyll work it out

So final update, I had a second package arrive with the same tracking and the correct item so have cancelled the dispute. Ali had flipped back and forwards several times before this though.

    • Unusual result, but a good outcome
