Stratco has a couple of EGO products on special, this one seemed like a pretty good price. They also had the 47 and 52 on special but not at the same percentage reduction. Their website doesn't show any pricing from what I could see and this photo was from the Gepps Cross SA store so not sure if it's Australia wide. I think the sale ends at the end of December.

2yrs in using full ego kit including the 52cm mower and another 2k worth of their stuff (excluding the batteries coz I got those on one of their deals) and I am in the garden weekly. Wouldn’t change what I bought , would probably have spent more with them 😂
Do you have their hedge trimmer? I’m thinking of getting one but they have a few different ones.
I got a hedge trimmer from Amazon it was cheaper than in store. Don’t need to use it much but it is good. Edit this one but it’s not as cheap anymore..

I got about 3k worth of Ego stuff and it mostly sits in the shed, half the stuff never opened. Just telling myself one of these days i will get around to using it

The one next to the 42 is the 47 (LM1903E) I think which looks like $1049 RRP and $799 special. Can't remember the 52 sorry. They had a trimmer RRP $199 for $149 and there was also a multi-head pack with extension and pole saw but can't remember the price of this.

I had the st1500e but it stopped working one day. Our lawn is 3x3m so it's never had a hard life, but ego aren't that interested in helping me repair it without forking out enough cash to just buy a new skin. I don't like that kind of disposable mentality. Brother had a mower die, pole trimmer shaft disintegrated. Their stuff seems great when it works but then it doesn't and it's a pain in the arse to fix.
To be honest, I'd be inclined to go back to 2t. At least an engine is easy to fix.
I'm in the market after my Victa 82V died. 3 years old, Victa say it's not repairable.
I'm tending toward going back to Petrol as well, what a joke!
@bashar20: Yeah, they offered me their 36V as a replacement, but I refused it for multiple reasons;
1) I'm never buying a Victa again, cause "unrepairable system after 3 years is a joke", and they originally pulled the "it's past warranty" excuse which is not only false, it has 5 years, not 3, but also who the flip cares? A Lawnmower should last 10 years.
2) the 36V system has nowhere near the performance of the 82V
3) it'd lock me into another random battery configuration
Decided I'm going to hold out for a Honda Petrol to come on sale. At least until I get sick of going round to Mum's to borrow her mower.
@ESEMCE: I am in same boat, my rover 1010 has died yesterday (less than 3yrs) and it doesn't appear they stock spare parts.

It's good, but nowhere near as good as my old Honda Buffalo….
The Honda cut lower, cleaner and had way more power….
Similar thoughts EGO vs 30+yo Honda Buffalo, however for the sake of a new carby and storage space, I now wish I had both come springtime when I want to 'de-thatch' couch lawns down to near the dirt. Now costs me a 6-pack to borrow the neighbour's old Victa once a year :)
The EGO is so easy to prepare, run and fold away, so lawns stay trimmed. The old Honda required more preparation and effort, so lawns got put off and grew longer = more work.
Damn…I just bought a 52 from total tools with the blower, haven't picked it up yet so can still refund.

Depends on what size best suits your needs. If you have a large yard you will want the 52.
Small yard but thought the 52 would make things faster.

I have a love my mower however I think it needs one step lower and it'll be perfect. Very light to push around. Fantastic battery life and great if you can score extras' with your purchase.
