  • Thanks…got one

Cheaper if you make your own, sata to usb cables are like $3

    • +1

But a good quality SSD is about the same price

      • Even a not so good quality SSD is about the same price.

1tb is around $50 on aliexpress

I’m not going down the quality rabbit hole my 10 year old 128gb ssd working just fine these will last longer than they’re useful for

Showing as $99 for me. Deal over?

  • +2

    $99 on my side

  • Yes had it in my cart, attempting to purchase, seller made changes to the listing in complete checkout page

    • Don't you hate that!!

They jacked the original one to $99.
They have a second listing at $89 with $10 off making it $79. Still $10 more than original listing which was $79 with a $10 discount.

    • That's $99 as well

      • Yeah, looks like they've jacked this listing too now.

  • snapped one for $69 before the jacked the price

  • If it is exactly the same 1TB model that techmpowerup reviewed
    https://www.techpowerup.com/review/lexar-sl200-portable-ssd-…

Then, the NAND series number should be 29f2t08emlce, which means it is a Micron 3D TLC NAND. From my understanding, SSD companies remove Micron brand and MT from NAND chips as PRC (China) where those cheap SSD are usually assemsbled has banned Micron from being used in major infrastructure projects. I have more faith in those re-branded Micron NAND than YMTC NAND which has nortoriusly higher failure rates.

Edit: Now the Ebay store has jacked the price to $99. lol.

Your faith on possibly ink died Micron is not what I'd follow. :)

YMTC v2 128L is bad, similarly the Samsung v6 136L. Other YMTC NANDs - v1 64L, v3 128L and v4 232L are excellent ones I'd trust my data on. Actually, all our PCs run YMTC SSDs, old Samsung went as back up drives

  • 69 dude.
