Zip Pay $9.95 Account Fee Vs Zip Plus $9.95 Account Fee

Is there a difference in the conditions for applying (or waiving) the $9.95 account fee to a Zip Pay and Zip Plus account?

Zip Pay: A monthly account fee of $9.95 applies and is subject to change. Pay your closing balance in full by the due date each month and we'll waive the fee.

Zip Plus: A $9.95 monthly fee will apply if you have a balance owing. Pay your closing balance in full by the end of each calendar month and we’ll also waive the monthly account fee of $9.95 for that month. A monthly account fee of $9.95 will otherwise apply.

For the moment, Zip Plus is only available to select Zip Pay customers, to find out if you are eligible to apply visit your Zip app

So basically it’s an upgrade available to some users. What’s the problem?

No, it is designed to charge interest, considering that the funding must be more expensive than before. It is questionable to say an upgrade.
