[eBay Plus] La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ 100ml $18.39 Delivered @ Chemist Warehouse eBay

1160
BFSAVE

This is a very popular tried and tested skincare product for dry or sensitised skin. If your skin has been irritated by shaving, or if you've overdone your exfoliation, it's a good one to try to calm down your skin and restore your skin barrier. This is the bigger 100ml size that retails for around $40. It's fragrance-free.

Cicaplast Baume B5+ Balm Cream is a multi-repairing hydrating balm for dry skin with a rich nourishing texture that can be used for multiple purposes on adults, children and babies (including babies from 3+ months) with sensitive skin.

Plenty of reviews everywhere. Note that this the updated B5+ version that came out earlier this year.

Update 4:55pm: Now 60 cents cheaper at $18.39

    Ordered. Thanks OP!

      ordered some posay for today

  • I gotta say, their brand name is so fancy and the product names are so slick. It just makes me wanna buy their stuff at the right price.

The only thing I've tried is their sunblock and it's good.

  • Omg I was juuust looking at the 100ml on the cw website before and was thinking it was already a great price. Didn't think of the ebay store front, thank you! Loved the B5 and now this B5+ is even better as it is slightly lighter and not as sticky as the OG.

    • +1

Was going to ask, the original Baume is way too thick for me. I use La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme as it's way lighter.. Curious if the b5+ is as light as this or still a bit thicker. Anything thicker than the Toleraine I end up drying out worse (because skin overcompensates with oil heh)

      • +2

Cicaplast Baume is technically still a balm so it is still LRP's thickest product and won't be lighter than the one you're using which is a cream. I think only seasoned Cicaplast users would notice the difference :)

        • +2

Yeah that's fair. I've tried various other products even from LRP, but nothing else so far has the correct consistency.. Guess I'll stick with what works! Just wish I got more for the money.. Rarely on sale. Whenever the tube stops providing, always have to cut the end off and scoop out the remaining, get another solid week just by doing that heh.

          • @ReaperX22: May I ask what your skin care needs are, I'm guessing there's some sensitivity and dehydration? For everyday use, you may be able to find something in the cerave or qv ranges.

          • +1

@ReaperX22: It is hard when you try to use cheaper products but end up wasting lots of money going through different things, only to find the original choice works the best. I recently bought some 'lighter creams' like the QV Face Nurturing Night Cream and QV Face Ultra Calming Moisturiser.. They just didn't feel right and didn't work as well so I pretty much wasted money there. Have tried a lot of products over the years to get to where I am and they're all either Asian beauty or drugstore types to keep prices down lol

      • Also, some other international markets actually have the Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair Light Cream in a pump bottle which sounds amazing.. but it's not for sale here in Aus :( hopefully in the future.

  • Hi. Any deals on the Sunscreen ? Was looking for Black Friday but didn't see a good price.

    • It's discounted but not the best price ever. $24.99 from Amazon or CW.

      • +1
        • Ta. Looks like a good price. Maybe add this to this deal ?

          • @varunbabu008: It seems to charge $9.99 shipping for the sunscreen which kinda kills the deal

            • +1

@moocher: I see. Looks like you have to order 3 to get free shipping - 19.9 $ each.

              • @varunbabu008: Other than some random products (and Fragrances) with Free Shipping, CW ebay gives you Free shipping over $50 as long as 2 (or more) products are bought together.

here's another random one with free shipping (I bought it recently)

                (Swisse Eye Cream)

        • How long does 50ML last?

          Damm.

  • +1

    as usual, you're the best

    • Glad you like the deals

  • Is the usual price $40??

Lets say that you've 'removed' your skin barrier and just let it natually reform. How long does that take?

    • A compromised barrier needs at least a week if it is reacting from topical creams, sometimes longer depending on how damaged it is and if there are other causes. Thick, occlusive moisturisers and balms help a lot. A little goes a long way with this balm which is good.

    • +1

      Is the usual price $40??

RRP is $40.95. LRP rarely gets discounted more than 30%.

    • +1

A complete skin cell turnover cycle (where skin cells travelling from lower layers to the top layer then shed off) is around a month, longer as you get older. So if it's badly damaged than you would need minimum of one skin cycle I'd imagine.

      • Wonder whether I can just put some olive oil on it? Save some Loray Cashay so to speak?

        • +1

It won't be the same. This product contains a lot of soothing ingredients to repair the skin barrier. Is not the same as slapping on oil which could cause blocked pores and other issues as well as leave you looking like an oil slick.

  • Is this similar to the product OP posted? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/295837308458?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

    • +4

That's the old version B5. This is B5+. And beware of fakes - lots of them around for the popular LRP products.

      • how do you differentiate?

        • Unless you are a regular user it's probably hard to tell from just the packaging

          Buy from an authorised seller

    • +1

I only looked the the title on the listing, didn't realise that the pictures are so obviously a fake product - brand name EELHOE lol

  • Ordered at $40.95 from Priceline only yesterday to get their beauty bag for free. This is a bargain!!

  • Thanks OP just bought it, I’ve been having problem with my face, red dry patch that’s appearing and no matter how much I moisturize it starts flaking. I have had to resort to topical cream just to get it to stop flaking but it just doesn’t heal. Hope this works

    • +1

if this doesn't help, you might be best going to a dermatologist to find out why it is happening

  • Would this help combat the redness/irritation and associated ingrown hairs i get on my neck following shaving?

    • +1

redness/irritation - yes it would help
ingrown hairs - probably not - I suspect you'd need some gentle exfoliating to get those out (but not while your skin is irritated)

    • Tried an electric shaver?

  • +1

I saw this and came back to say Dr Dray (dermatologist) just posted a new video on skin barrier/dryness, titled siak and smear. Very interesting, and informative, she's my guru lol

  • Grabbed one thanks

  • Is this good if you've gotten burnt?I have combo skin, I found the less I use the better.

Summer is coming tho, so wondering to have something on hand lol

  • omg what a good find thank youuu

damn missed it by just a few minutes. pls restock, cwh

  • Can I use this with tret on the sensitive bits? Sides of nose, lips, under eyes.

    • +1

yes, this should be a good fit! (ymmv)

    • +1

Is well regarded on reddit for tret users!

  • I wonder why the Lipikar is not eBay Plus? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/325497667112?epid=12040161702&ha…

You put the balm on? Who told you to put the balm on? I didn't tell you to put the balm on. Why'd you put the balm on? You haven't even been to see the doctor. If you’re gonna put a balm on, let a doctor put a balm on.

98% feedback rating on a widely faked product, for a cream you’ll put on your face? No thanks. I’ll pay the extra $4

    • +1

There's not even a brand name on the product tube from the image, I'd say it's fake. Even if it's not a fake, that's the old formula and likely to be old stock. This year's formula has the product name of B5+

Buy LRP from an authorised seller like CW

  • Recently, I get dry and itchy skin instead of hayfever. This deal couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Thanks OP. Bought!

For less than $2 I wouldn't risk it.

      • For less than $20 you mean? Cuz they are selling it for $16.49…

        • +2

          This deal is $18.39

          Your link is $16.49

    • box and pictures show the smaller size which is kinda weird

      • It’s the correct box.

They increase the font size on the 100ml version so the photos of 40 and 100 look almost identical.

        • Was referring to the first photo

    • +1

Note that it says "B5". Even if it's not a fake, that's the old formula and likely to be old stock. This year's formula has the product name of B5+
