So what's all that about then?
Exchange notes for coins, scroll through all the coins for ones with value (need to have knowledge of which coins could be worth something)
If they are: you’re ahead $$
If not, you’ve still got the same amount of cash
OK cheers. I keep a back of painted $2 and a heap of IATSIS 50c peices but I really should start looking for mis-stamps as well. :)
@EightImmortals: I exchanged $40 in notes for coins because every week my kids were needing some for school or kinder events etc
Tried flicking through but didn’t have enough knowledge on coins and my motivation was already so so low lol
Never used tiktok
Do you have a link
You’ll find plenty via google
I get it as change from the op shop.
Never been to op shop what do they sell
srs?
used/second hand goods
Yes serious
Opportunities.
For used good to go to new homes.
Video game parlors, coin laundries and DIY car washes are good places to get gold coins.
Or you can ask at the service desk at most supermarkets and they'll normally be happy to break a $5 or $10.
Otherwise, my mother in law has bags full of them that she keeps giving us as she only uses notes and throws all her change into a jar after each shop.
Thanks
Might go video parlor or supermarket
Probably a better choice than AF's mother in law.
Thanks
Use a gift card at Bunnings; they will give change in notes and coins < $10.
Car Wash has exchange
Thanks
Could one not just get them from the bank?
We used to simply exchange notes for coin bags for the cashier till. Or is it not allowed anymore?
Last time I went to a bank branch they have some peanut who intercepts you at the door and tries everything to get you to use one of the smart ATMs or some other method that doesn't involve an actual staff member. Wouldn't be surprised if they just told you to piss off if all you wanted was to exchange notes for coins.
Haha dont want to be told to piss off
Didnt know it was an option
Swap coins for notes with your local homeless beggar
Last time was the supermarket. I got cash out so I could use a trolley.
beg
got a dollar?
People leave them in shopping trolleys all the time. A quick trip around the car park can usually net a few dollars and a bit of exercise. Otherwise use the self serve checkout to get cashout. $3.69 used to get you a $2, $1, 50c and 20c coin. I think they've since updated the system to fix this hack.
Go into pokies with notes, come out with pennies
At the bank I have an account at.
I dig them up from the ground in the local parks, beaches etc
Change it at the bank branch inside with the bank you have an account with
Thanks
