Hi all,
Was planning to get a 4 camera system for the house.
was looking at eufy 2c and wondering if its worth the extra few hundreds to fork out for the 3c or even 3.
Thank you all for your input.

The 3 looks good for outdoors since you theoretically don't have to think about charging it. You can start out with the 2c and upgrade to the 3 later if you need additional cameras, your 2c cameras can be repurposed for indoor use, for example.
I believe the Homebase 3 that comes with the 3 or 3c has continuous recording, whereas the Homebase 2 can only record for a set number of seconds per motion event.
same quality.. nothing special
Ask anyone honest with a battery-powered camera setup and they'll tell you, at some point, they stopped bothering to charge them. Odds are, some (or all) are flat right now. Certainly, at some point, at least one of them sat there for many months with a dead battery. "I'm not like that, though!" Yeah, nor was I, yet half of mine are off as I'm typing this right now.
If it's going to get any sun, get the 3. At least you'll delay the inevitable.
I had the 3 for 3 months now, still at 100% charge. Its good not to worry about battery life.
A number of the higher res and newer cameras require the Homebase 3 as a minimum to run. So i'd go with whichever combo uses the Homebase 3 to allow for future expansion or better quality Eufy camera's. Buy once, cry once.

2C Pro if you're using it indoors only.
Otherwise, get the 3/3c if it includes outdoors use.
Source: I have 2 Eufy camera setups in 2 different countries - I actually bought a 2C pro kit yesterday. 2C Pro is pretty much all I need.
I got the solar cam. It's on the north side of the house and stays fully charged even in winter. Only problem is that it doesn't record continuously and can miss things. For example if someone runs past quickly it would be lucky to catch a few frames of footage. The detection range is limited as well, it's basically like a sensor light.
Depends on your use case. I reckon the best bang for buck is 2C Pro.
Got JB hifi to do a JB Deal for $615, and Good Guys to do $650 for the 4 pack. Paid with discount gift cards at Good Guys.
Even with the best discounts, the best price for the Eufycam 3 was about $12XX. Not worth double for my use case.
Will see how it goes! I could then upgrade the Homebase if I find I’m not happy with the HB2, or upgrade the whole system when the Eufycam 3 is a reasonable price, and donate the current setup to family or sell it off.
