Hi there fellow Ozbargainers! I'm looking for a mini-led screen laptop as a replacement for my aging HP which has Oled but unfortunately has succumbed to burn in. The hard drive inside is also at it's last leg and the machine is begging to be put down. I want to go for a Mini-led screen windows laptop but am not sure what models exist in Aus. If anyone knows of a good powerful machine with a mini-led screen I would appreciate it. My main priority is battery life but if it does some light gaming on the side that'd be cool. If anyone knows of any deals on for them too I'd appreciate it. Thanks :)
Any Deals/Recommendations on a Good Mini-LED Laptop? (Windows)

I'm considering getting another OLED haha. No one's really answered here and all the options online have showed me laptops that are 3.5k+ atm. My use case is unique, I work and study with this laptop. I didn't hide my taskbar, brightness was 50-100% in the daytime but mostly around 50. At night same story. I purposefully didn't auto-hide taskbar, didn't lower brightness always, I did use the burn in protection the panel offered though that had an ABL. Regarding content type: Just youtube and some HDR movies. I was promised at the JB that these new OLED's came with pretty good ABL software limits and pixel refresh that wouldn't give me burn in. Which is why I didn't bother with hiding the taskbar and such.
I use a LG OLED as a desktop monitor and have been using this: https://github.com/TranslucentTB/TranslucentTB in combination with auto hide and a black background, no issues so far…just in case you decide to do it again!
Any Oled laptop you've landed on purchasing?
@Shashii: I'm waiting until my current laptop (2017) dies completely as it's only a secondary computer for me. I have seen a lot of sub-1k deals for OLED ones with discrete graphics here on OzB e.g., https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/814249 but not looking to pull the trigger just yet.
@xxBARGAINGODxx: Oh wow that laptop you just linked looks amazing. I'll keep an eye out for a price like that again for either that or a similar spec. I'm in a similar position as you as I have a desktop but I do use my laptop a fair bit. So I'll keep an eye out.
Just curious how long you had the OLED laptop for and what kind of use patterns (screen on hours, background type, taskbar hidden or not, brightness setting, content type, etc.) caused the burn-in? Have been considering getting an OLED for my next one.
