Advice for Headphones (Noise Cancelling) with Bluetooth

Wife wants noise cancelling headphones (the ones that cover the whole ear and not go in the ear). I wouldn't have a clue about the techy side of things, but I know it has to be wireless and be able to connect to her samsung galaxy s21 or s22 phone, i am guessing via Bluetooth. She wants $400, and I am like "fuck now we can't afford it!" So, with the cost of living and interest rates in mind, are there more sensible options for what we need? Key things are wireless connectivity to her phone and that it's noise cancelling.

I really don;t wanna go over $100-150, but let me know what you think as Black Friday starts in one hour!

      Space One isn't a bad option either. Not as good, but cheaper and not far off.

      Otherwise hoping for Sony to restock some refurb XM3s and a great ebay refurb sale.

      Edit: Sennheiser 450BT are on sale too - https://www.amazon.com.au/Sennheiser-Active-Cancellation-Ove… - NC isn't as good as some others but audio quality is pretty up there.

        Oo yes, refurb xm3 would be more expensive but, theyre sooo good. I find they're too bass heavy even after tweaking the eq. But ANC wise, they're still very much relevant.

        The q45 will be cheaper though. I think amazon is about 150ish.

        No experience with sennies, but i know their sound should be top notch.

          The Space One is more around $120, but for $30 more I'd get the Q45.

          My missus has the 450BT, I prefer the sound over my xm3s and I'm jealous of the multipoint. It's a really well rounded set of headphones IMO but it's stuck in that area where the ANC is worse than others and the audio quality is worse that plenty of cans without ANC. But real world, it's pretty good to use at home.

    Bose QC 45 refurbs $300 but she should try them on for comfort. Sony XM3/XM4 works better for some people's head and ear anatomy.
