Suggest 27" 4k 2nd Monitor since Dell Isn't Delivering

Want a 2nd vertical monitor, for movies/text/docs. No gaming. Want 27" or less.
Ordered the dell deal but instead of shipping today they said they'll wait til Feb next year. Not waiting - so going for BF deals.

But I have no idea how to choose a monitor. No photo editing but want good color for viewing/movies still, and accurate enough to match main monitor used for photo editing.

Desktop so don't need
* usb-c
* speakers

2nd mon so
* don't need USB ports.
* need thin bezels
* need 27" or less

What are some mid range monitors that suit?

    4k 60hz
    IPS Panel, bezels look thin… from product photos
    tilt, pivot and height adjustability.

    There's also this random QSM brand monitor from Mwave for $299 + delivery. It somehow has 24 Zones Local Dimming (HDR600), 130% NTSC QLED panel, 90 watt USB C, and built in speakers, for much cheaper than branded LCD's.

    • That's insanely cheap, I'm trying to find a reason not to just upgrade the old 24" 1080p monitors in my office (besides that I have no need to). Although looking at the promo video on their website they're clearly fudging the tiny bezels that they show in the photos.

    • Is there a way to search for Local Dimming?
      Looking at something 24" and qhd now, and there's hardly many options, none seem to do more than the std basics.

  • If you are mounting a vertical monitor, maybe have a look at 16:10 24" monitors like the Dell U2421 or P2423 instead.

    • Yes i'm thinking maybe a twenty four inch qhd would be better for my size. Stats a very confusing because everything has 1000 to 1 contrast ratio and everything has 99% RGB. And everything has 300 nits, delta e <2
      I don't know how to compare or choose.

      Every brand seems to have multiple monitors of exactly the same size and resolution.

      Also wondering about this monitor which is QHD instead of 1980 by 1200. The ratio is not as good for vertical but IM getting more pixels. Not sure.

      Also seems to be 90 Hertz, which I don't know if it makes a difference when I'm not gaming.

      • Some people can spot the difference unfortunately I am not lucky enough to be one of them, better to see the refresh rates in store.

        I got qhd 24" at home and 1900x1200 24" at work, both secondary portrait monitors. I would pick the 16:10 any day watching videos and opening PDFs. The extra physical width is very noticeable, the images aren't as sharp but definitely workable. That said, if you do use the second monitor in a landscape orientation every now and then the qhd will make a difference.

  • Thoughts on this ?

    Looks dell-ish in its design lol

    • Apparently the photo is fake. It actually has thick black bezels under the glass.

    • https://qsphere.com.au/ this is the Australian mob making them — well presumably they're rebadging something from overseas, but what? There are no reviews that I can find so despite the amazing price for 4k 27" I am a bit reluctant. Also the refresh rate seems on the low side. Maybe that's fine for office work, which is my main use.
