Cheaper on eBay, fast shipping, purchase protection & don't need to pay international txn fees: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155515203527
Really wish OP would stop posting these "deals" (which are basically the same pricing all the time).

    • Do you or anyone know if this kingroon pla is decent?
It's coming up at about $60aud for me with a discount code, so that's crazy cheap.
So cheap I might take a stab at it and see how it goes.

From eBay? It's not bad, I've printed about 10 rolls of it so far.
My experience was suprisingly perfectly rolled (except for one that had a tangle towards the end), however the packaging is not great, leaving them unopened they eventually take on air.
I had a better experience after drying them for around 8 hours.

Worth the buy for doing large prints that you want to keep cheap, for a better quality nicer colour I will always go with eSun.

I would recommend them at under $14 a roll, any more than that and you're better off with Sunlu or getting larger rolls of eSun.

        • Nice. Cheers. I think I'll grab a pack
I'll keep the packaging in mind. I really need to get some kind of drier for my filament. I've had pretty good luck so far, though I've got at least one roll of pla that's gone brittle

@stiffman: More expensive brands probably have better moisture protection built into their supply chain, so I suspect some of the Kingroon filament arrives wet hence the issues I was having with stringing.
Once dried I think it's pretty good quality, although I have to say there is a weird smell I get printing with it. My Prusa is next to my office desk doing a 20 hour print with the Kingroon PLA yellow and it doesn't smell like other filaments.

            • @thedean: Some of my petg rolls were wet too, despite them still being vacuum sealed, I think you're spot on with their moisture control.

              No issues once dried

Good petg filament brought down by poor customer service, as exemplified in this post by the reps consistently advertising as "free shipping", despite feedback from potential customers.

Ive posted on these deals before, the filament is good, prints and adheres well. No issues printing it using the same petg profile I've been using for StandardPrintCo petg. Winding on the spools is good. It did need to be dried first, most spools still appeared to be vacuum sealed, but the filament was still wet.

When I ordered my 10kg petg (they asked customers to email them with the colour selection) there was no communication from kingroon that my colour selection had been received, not via email or ozbargain message. After my order had shipped they got back to me that the colours I had chosen were available, and they had packed them. Other ozbargain users however reported that they got whatever was available, one I remember even specially asked for their order to be cancelled if a specific colour wasnt available. This was not done by kingroon.

    All this to say

TLDR I'm happy with my PETG filament after drying, poor communication from seller, order off the eBay store for cheaper

  • If you’re willing to buy 10kg, it’s cheaper on eBay with the current 20/22% off promo: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155283224925

Works out to less than $10 a roll.

    • Complete noob to 3d printing. Ordered first printer on Friday. Would this deal be OK for a beginner? Price seems ozbargain compatible

Price is really good, but as a beginner this will be a lot, if not, too much to start with. If you’re prepared to learn and commit to the hobby then I’d say go for it.
