I hope you're well. I'm encountering a payment error: "Transaction declined. This purchase requires a payment method from your billing country. [OR_RECR_05]". I previously had bought an annual subscription from Turkey but is expiring today.
I've updated my payment profile to a Turkish address and tried Windscribe and Urban VPNs, but the issue persists. Any guidance or similar experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same payment error trying through Ukraine and I couldn't get a Pakistan connection working through Urban VPN

I had the same problem today when YT failed to debit the Odubil card and fixed it by:
1) Activate your VPN (I used FireFox as the browser)
2) Navigate to the Update Payment page
3) Add your Australian credit card details (remember to select Australia as the issuance country)
4) Done.
Wouldn't changing issuance country to Australia mean you get charged in AUD pricing though?
And which country did you VPN to?
No - you will be charged in TRY equivalence; last checked I was charged $3.29 for 59.99TRY. VPN to Turkey when you update the payment method (picture this: You are in Turkey, just so happen you have an Aussie CC….).

Which credit card did you use? I used Citibank, NAB, Revolut and St George. None of them worked.
@Mr Frodo: Mine was Coles MC. Are you sure your VPN was effective (like you're actually in Turkey)? A bit more details: I received email from YT saying they couldn't debit my Odubil (after they rejected it apparently) and suggested to add an alternate payment, at this point still no VPN. I then activated VPN, clicked the email link bringing me to the payment page, added the card details (and chose Australia as card issuance country).
I used Firefox with UrbanVPN.
I'm with ING, I got it working by making payment through the YouTube app
