I already posted this deal here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81217 but didn't gather much attention. I wanted to post it again but I think it will be flagged as duplicate.

Come to think of it, most games are DRM-locked now and even physical copies now have a key that you must activate either on Steam or is locked to your Origin account.
e.g
Mass Effect 2/3 (multiplayer key usable once only)
Modern Warfare series
Battlefield seriesgone are the days where PC games are DRM free.
Ugh, Origin -.-
I really wish EA didn't try to push their own platform - Steam already fulfilled this purpose (and does a far better job of it), and most people are already invested in it.Closing this thread now for the deal thread has already got onto the front page.
Was going to get it until I read the word Origin. It's like a really bad version of steam.
Though I'd admit I hate steam, and I tried to use it recently it says I have no internet connection.
Probably firewall or something, but I check and disabled anti-virus and it still doesn't work.
I'm not fussed, only ever played the free games on steam. I'd rather buy physical copies, digital copies with DRM or a light DRM that doesn't install additional software onto a computer like a serial number that if used twice on a server in multiplayer won't work.
