just a note. drinking this with water will taste extremely bad. use cordial instead

    • I like to use either lime cordial or pineapple juice with a touch of water mixed in a shaker- acidic flavours will make it easy to take

      • yeah i use lime cordial as well.

  • most of my supps come in cap form. may as well throw em in a bowl with milk and take em down like cereal

    • I prefer powder form for my supps. It's better value plus I get sick of swallowing so many capsules at a time…

Hey yet another vitacost first time poster who has the affiliate linking already down pat.
You guys must all come from the same mold.
    Welcome to Ozbargain.

      yeah, i've noticed majority of them are all new members -_-;

      • why is that a reason to neg the deal? if he is letting others know of a bargain, then that is achieving what this site has set out to do

        • +3

Could be wrong, but I reckon the only reason we're seeing so many 1st time posters spamming us vitacost referrals is purely for their own benefit.

Most (not all) would have multiple Vitacost accounts that they have already referred to themselves a few times, and they are now clever enough to be able to cover their tracks to avoid being detected here as a single user with multiple accounts.

Have a look at the recent vitacost track record and you'll notice quite a few ghost / banned user account posts that have been deleted. Humans learn from mistakes, and now my opinion (again, could be wrong) is that (deleted as to not give the serial offenders any ideas).

This is my first time joining Ozbargain, and my first deal. I thought it was a legitimate deal, considering it is for a limited time and 50% off their regular, already low price. I bought this product myself, and thought it would benefit those who are in to this sort of thing. I know I would jump on the opportunity if someone had posted it here and I had not previously been informed of the deal. If first-time users use my link to get $10 off, that's awesome and it saves them (and me) some money. If not, I'm glad to have let people know about it so they can take advantage of this bargain regardless.

I have been a daily visitor to this site for over a year. I also read the rules in regards to how to post these types of bargains. Maybe this is why my referral post is 'flawless'..? I too have become annoyed at the number of posts that disguise Vitacost's everyday prices as bargains. But this is genuinely tremendous value, and I do not see what the problem with my posting is. If the problem is with the referral code, then maybe something should be done in regards to how these types of posts are handled.

Recently, almost every time I see a vitacost deal it's either a regularly priced item artificially made into a "bargain" by the use of referral spam or a flawlessly presented 1st post by a new user including a referral link. This time, it fell into the latter category.

Like I said, I could be wrong and if I am in this instance, my apologies. However, given how many ghost accounts and banned users that keep coming back for the purpose of helping no one other than themselves, I hope you'll understand why I and a couple of others above treated your post with suspicion.

Not many 1st time posters get it so "right", it's often the sign of someone that's done it before and certainly more than once.

I can absolutely understand your suspicions. But like any first time poster, I wanted to get my post right, and I'm glad that I did. I have also used Vitacost extensively, so I wanted to include information that I look at when shopping around for supplements such as price per serve and what is contained in a 'serve'… Especially considering a 'serve' is what the manufacturer states, and may not be what is required by the majority of people.

This post is 100% sincere, and I plan on posting and commenting a lot more on Ozbargain now that I have officially joined the gang :)

        • Vitacost is spam to me now, its been poping up on a regular basis.

          Specials every 2nd day :)

    • I get the feeling that if Vitacost didn't let everyone so easily abuse their signup credit/referral system then there would probably be a reduction :)

They're going to have to notice sooner or later if they haven't already, or maybe they just don't care.

There were a couple of posts that got deleted and the reason was "Requested by OP and Vitacost" so someone there appears to be watching to some extent.

      • +1

        I would hope so.

I've filed some "dodgy referrer" reports (some persistent spammers) to Vitacost, and have never received any reply from them.

    • I just don't like to give away my $10 refer gift to some random guys, otherwise I buy something from them weeks ago. Wish the admin of Ozb can fight a special deal to us to achieve win win.

    • Yep, joined yesterday, flawless affiliate / referral post today. Nothing sus about that at all.

Must have been lurking a while too, making statements like I know some people are getting sick of seeing Vitacost 'bargains', but I believe this is a true bargain having only been a member for a day.

  • How does this compare to Beefcake 4000?
    - Just askin

    • +1

      98.79% less obesity.

  • Unless people want to stack their $10 referals, why don't they just keep making new accounts with different emails and just use the $10 code from each email for their original account. Does this make sense?

    • is that allowed under vitacost rules? wouldn't they ban u or something?!

  • vitacost does a good srvice
I went back to it through ozbargain
it is hard to keep up with the many specials which beat anything on the oz market
when we do not object to trivial supermarket savings these are massive if you can order well.
I missed out on some speicals and they never came backa gain [BOGOF]
i order vitamins and supplements but find that these products are cheaper than even the manufacturer's own site specials.
I appreciate every new poster of vitacost as I do not have time to trawl through its massive offers which show the best of the free market to our benefit
    a real bargain site.
sometimes too many choices make it hard to compare value even against vitacost home brand
have to check out iherb again
    never cottoned on to it

  • Thank you for posting this. I'd like to know about as many Vitacost bargains as possible! I'm already registered so no one is going to get $10 from me though :)
