    How does it work when you usually pay in person and charged the currency of the hotel? Only some hotels require pre-payment.

      Calculates the approximate exchange rate at the time

      All their systems are in EUR in the backend anyway, ie reward points are based on EUR spend.

      Edit2: Sorry, to answer your question it's the booking amount - extras aren't calculated. I had room service a few nights not included.
      Edit3: Tracks AFTER your stay finishes (within 1-2 days usually), no matter length of stay.

      If it's like the Shopback cash backs, you book in the browser with the app going, that price is what goes to the online service. After the stay is then validated and calculated and your final payment is validated. So you pay at the hotel but it still validates based on the booking.

      Accor usually calculate in Euros and then use the exchange rate of the day.

    This has been as high as 15% for the top band and 12% for Novotel/Mercure in recent weeks.

    As for cashing it out, I get it sent to my Wise GBP account and transfer over.

    just noticed that this has been reduced a lot for Accor platinum (and I think gold) members.. better rates on the aussie site instead now
