People will buy them at full price until 16 is announced so why bother discounting them.
You said it yourself, 15 will start having deals when 16 is released.
A month before xmas and two months after they came out? Doubt it.
Check current 14 deals - same will be next year for 15.
Apple rarely have sales as they put all their money into marketing (and lawyers) so people with too much money are happy to part with it without doing any of their own research.
So other brands don't do marketing? So other companies haven't used lawyers to control policy and flex on smaller companies? So non-iPhone buyers do more research than iPhone buyers? So people with money only buy iPhones? Other flagship priced devices aren't being bought? Every single point in your comment is silly.

No it's not? At least I don't see any at the moment. Maybe you're confusing the iPhone 14 for the iPhone 14 Pro. Past Pro models are no longer sold when new ones release by Apple and most retailers. Those deals are clearance sales.
