I'd sell you my 64GB 4S for only $100 more, and so would half of eBay.

    • +11

as much as his getting negged, hes kinda right

      • You can have my 32 GB for $300.

        Speaker doesn't work.

    • are you serious? I will pay $200 for it.

      • Check eBay mate, phones with no accessories are still clearing $600 for a 4S.

A good try but I don't think spending $438 on a phone that came out over two years ago, is a bargain.

    • +14

But it has an Apple logo on it! It's automatically worth more than any other similar product on the market!

      • or better products !

This is a 2x outdated model, with now-average specs and a 'lite' version of iOS - the only reason one would buy this, would be for their spoiled brat of a child (who apparently needs a smartphone), who lives and dies on the attention of others, which is gained by possessing this 'status symbol' of a phone.

In terms of the actual hardware and software one gets for their $438, this is not a bargain. In terms of this being a mere $11 less than ordering directly from Apple, this is not a bargain.

    • Calm down sheesh

Heh after rereading it, I did get a bit excited, didn't I? Nevertheless…

I love it when my comments pretty much get evened out by votes, I'm sorry if my comment seemed abrupt, I did find it funny

        • +'ves for you ;)

        • It's all good, I didn't neg you :-)

  • This ll be optus locked and you have to pay extra to get that unlocked i believe.
I bought 4S 16Gb slightly used with all accessories in $425 from ebay.

  • Hardly a deal, you can get newer and better Android phones for ~$300

Now THAT is a dumb reply. You can get a 10 year old Motorola Flip Phone for $10, but that doesn't mean you'd be justified in negging this deal or one for an Android phone on that basis.

      • +6

NOTE: he said "newer and better". this is opposite to "10 year old Motorola Flip Phone for $10"?
I've wonder which one is a dumb reply?

Update to add reason for my neg. – This deal is Optus prepaid (read: locked to Optus). You can get one at Apple store for $449 unlock, so you either stuck with Optus or unlock the phone to bring the cost up. Hence, no bargain.

  • i'll sell my 32GB iPhone4 Black with silicone case $350 (unlocked), email me.

Errrm as others have alluded how is this a Bargain? It's overpriced and inflated because of the Apple logo…

I hate iPhone's. Even if this were a deal stating "iPhone 5 for $500" I'd still struggle to see it as a bargain. Apple forcibly out date their phones/products by excluding features from the current model, and make it "exclusive" to the next in line, despite both and even previous hardware being more than capable of.

However, I completely understand and accept that many people like them and are happy to blindly throw money Apple's way without a second thought. I would even recommend iPhone's for certain people, such as the elderly or technically challenged people. Or some of my friends who purchase it simply for the status symbol it supposedly is.

In saying that, if anyone I knew were to tell me they had purchased this, I'd slap them in the face with a wet cat fish.

Here are some refurbished iPhone 4 16gb models from ebay around the $500 mark.

I can't see any value in getting old tech, with crippled storage for that price. To me it just looses all value for money if you are buying a media device that is meant to be in sync with iTunes, and you have 8gb to splurge on.

    • As opposed to android phones which always get the latest software…. Oh wait.

      • +2

Never actually mentioned Android once, but since you bring it up; if your smart and get a Nexus, then yes, yes they do get the latest software. You even have the option take it a step further with custom firmware.

Samsung Galaxy S (i9000; 2 year old phone) with Jellybean here. What's your point again?

  • +2

You can get the Samsung galaxy S3 - 16gb for less than $500.
I do agree apple iPhone is for simple-minded people.its interface is simple and you don't get to muck around with files and directories. android is for real man!
