Router Recommendation for nbn 100

Hi,

I have a single storey house in Melbourne with a square layout. I am looking to upgrade from NBN 50 to NBN 100 and thought I would also upgrade my modem.

Currently, I have a ZXHN H268A. The modem is used for NBN (internet streaming, gaming, watching movies) and to power a home security system via PoE.

I have done some research but my shortlist is not that short:

  • Google Nest
  • NetComm NF20MESH
  • ASUS RT-AX56U / RT-AX86U
  • D-Link R15 Eagle Pro AI
  • D-Link DIR-2150 AC2100

I feel like the NF20MESH or the RT-AX56U would be the adequate. Any thoughts?

    I think you're spending too much for those speeds. Find a used Telstra Gateway for $10-15 somewhere and use that instead.

    Neither… Grab a Telstra Smart Modem… and if you find the reach isn't good just grab some of their wifi boosters… happy days.

    I got a netcomm modem router with my ISP. It's really bad. The UI is painful and even with an additional satellite, isn't great with range. I'm now looking to upgrade.

    Thanks for the responses. Seems like a Telstra smart modem is the way to go! Would any model be fine or should I go for the Modem 2/3?
