@Jessie Ryder: oh i’ve had plenty of variations on my current gear. started wi WD TV box. shifted to a jailbreaked ATV2 when they came out (damn that was fine), had various androids over the years and a telstra tv, none of which were as capable as the JB’d ATV2(!). very happy with this ATV HD 64GB I got for under a hunny. more secure, more reliable, better supported and nicer to use imo. thanks for your insights tho, invaluable.

I was considering getting a mini pc and running everything from that but maybe this is better?
I dont think I could justify buying one , just won't get used….
