So there is an item I keep price checking. Today the price at one shop shown on Google has dropped another $10. But when I click on it and go to the shop it is $10 more. It is still 10 dollars more when I open the Google link in an incognito tab. Am I seeing a preview of black friday? Huh?

Thats a shame then because it was 10 more when i checked yesterday too, so i just missed the window?
Why use Google shopping to check a known specific item that you want? Just bookmark the store/s or add to wishlist with price drop notification if the site has that option. Google is good but it isn't necessarily in real time.
Well im looking for a type of item, but not a specific one - i dont care much about brand or shop etc.
@bargain huntress: That makes sense. Cheers
@MS Paint: I think i will take your advice though and check this particular one as well though. Just in case i can grab some kind of difference. Thank you
Google Shopping will show if it's on sale elsewhere too.
maybe price jacking ready for a blanket discount sale
I notice this a lot with Kogan. I think the way some of these online stores are set up, especially their marketplace items, don't play nice with Google with things being out of stock and fluctuating prices.
Google Merchant Center (which is what displays as Google Shopping) sometimes takes time to update prices to the live website. Most likely the item was $10 cheaper, and the price has changed, and Google's system is yet to pick up on the change.
