    I'm looking at the reviews for the newest model (3rd gen), and people say it shows ads whenever you don't use it WTF???
    Is it the same with this 2nd gen?

  Regardless of their being a 3rd gen on the way, this is a great price. If you've ever been frustrated by video calls with your grandparents, give them one of these and it will change their life

    Agreed, especially for people who struggle with technology. My father had end stage Parkinsons, and he loves being able to see his grandkids, and daughter regularly. Prior to getting an echo show, we hardly ever were able to get video calls working, even with help from the nurses in the retirement home
