GoPro HERO10 Black with Floating POV Pole & Action Jib Kit $403.96 ($381.52 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ Ryda via eBay

Original Coupon Deal

The price on action cameras has been dropping everywhere but this is the first under $400 that really interests me. By itself, $409 at Amazon and $419 at other retailers.

I think I'm waiting/hoping on the DJI Action 3 to get well below $400 after comments it's the preferred grab and go cam.

Action 2 owners coming up on their first anniversary, keep it to yourself. I don't want to hear about it.

  • What difference is there between this and the Hero 12 that JB will supposedly have on sale for $550ish? Is the newer model worth the extra cost (hearing issues about overheating?)

What difference is there between this and the Hero 12

      Comparison for you.

      https://cameradecision.com/compare/GoPro-Hero12-Black-vs-GoP…

    • Overheating has been an issue for 'some' people on all the recent Gopro models, (and a lot of other action cameras)… If you max out all the settings and have no airflow, you're likely to have an issue with heat…

I've recorded a hell of a lot of hours on a 10 black without any heat issues, but I only record at 4k-50fps, high-stabilization (no-boost), wifi/voice/GPS all off…

The 10 is a good camera, much better than the earlier models, and the 11 & 12 aren't much of an improvement over the 10 IMO, so unless there's something about the 12 you need or find attractive, you might as well go with the 10 and save some money… (The 12 will have a higher resale value for a couple of years longer than the 10 obviously)

DJI Action 3 is $417 now at Amazon

    • hard decision actually I love DJI drones have 2 of them, and I love the fact you can film in d-log or a flat colour. great for colour grading in post. How ever the go pro does have its advantages.

  • I just came back from overseas using the GoPro 5 Black and the stabilisation kinda sucks lol

Anyone with better knowledge on these things know if the 10 is a substantial upgrade in terms of not-so-shaky-footage?

    Thanks

The 10 stabilization is real good, I use it for offroad-motorbike, boating, and hiking, no complaints…. I don't bother using it on the highest stabilization setting because the lower non-boost stabilization is more than adequate…

      A quick Google, here's a comparison: https://youtu.be/08_SQeDYCxg?t=109

Many thanks will def have a look at this

That was ages before they even released Hypersmooth (earliest was 7 Black). You will definitely get an upgrade

Are you seriously asking if GoPro have improved their stabilisation in 7 years?

      Yes… they have, a lot.

Keep in mind that it only work well when there is sufficient light.

    • The 10 has excellent stabilisation. I used it last year for snowboarding and skiing and it soaks up all the bumps very well.

  • dam now i can not decide between the hero 10 or dji 3, will be mostly for motorbikes road and dirt.

GoPro is the easy answer for me purely because of GoPro Labs (Custom bitrate, noise reduction and many other settings)

Suggest you consider Insta360. No need to point your camera in any direction. Post edit you can choose your own view!

      • That the one rs?

        • Any with the twin cameras will do - X3 or RS Twin, I use the R twin myself for my motorbike and other action activities, I can pan around to capture my face, the front, side or ground post edit. They are often in the DigiDirect 20% off sale.

  • Yeah nothing will ever beat the $199 Action 2 deal IMO. It has limited use cases but I use on my FPV quads and it is the best option, especially since they finally opened the gyro data so that you can use Gyro flow in post to stabilize. Looks fantastic and can shoot 4k120fps Incredible feat of engineering really.

  • Was considering 11 due to GPS
do you recommend to take this deal over a 11?
    thanks in advance.

  • $365 (with plus) for the camera on it's own without the pole and such:

(maybe add this to your deal OP)
