Agreed, one of the remaining draws from established brands is really tuning style and 'build' quality.
I know looks are subjective but despite Thieaudio creating technically peerless products. I can't bring myself to spend big with Chi-Fi due to their industrial design choices. But Chinese audio brands are quickly catching up.

I'm really enjoying the Monarch II
but do enjoy IE 600 from time to time (for a bit more slam in the bass),
as the Monarch's tuning is 'safe'.
With that said, the IE 600 shell, size, comfort and weight,
make me it a very, very comfortable IEM to wear….even falling asleep to it, in bed.
So, the IE 900 is going to be a comfortable wear too,
when the many of the ChiFi products are bigger & bulkier.
I was on the fence about getting these but that $10 off sealed the deal.

IE 200 have really heavy treble, to the point I returned them the next day.
People use the IE 200 for gaming, I tried it for cs and apex, gunshots sounded like knives stabbing my eardrum. For context I use a smsl dac and thx 789 amp, normally ATH AD900x or HD600.

The IE900 is still competitive at this price as one of the best bass IEMs on the market. Very little surpass its bass abilities to this day.
