I recently used these guys for telehealth plant based medical. They mentioned the code if I knew anyone who wanted to use their services.

What exactly are they selling? Weed?

    • +4

Well Medical Cannabis, not exactly weed.

It's a doctor that's licenced in Australia to prescribe.

I don't think they're allowed to say that specifically.. so I was also erring on the safe side.

      • +2

On their web site: "Explanation of the risks and potential benefits of medicinal cannabis"

        • Yeah cool.

I just saw plant based medicine everywhere else on the site.

Personally I prefer my initial consultations to be meat based.

    • Fair point.

      Usually I do too.

    • and you're free in your sexual preference. Good for you.

Would you recommend them? I went through Canwell a few months ago who were quite good

    • Yeah I would. Friendly, detailed etc. I mean I haven't been to other specific clinics, but the salve I got sped up my foot injury recovery.

Won't somebody think of the dealers

mods scrambling to decide which rule this breaks

    • +3

LOL - yes tried to see myself. Though didn't look like it.
As it's a medical clinic. They just specialise in the area of (Legal) medical cannabis based consults. They don't sell it, you get it from the chemist.

    • We are not scrambling. Medical practitioners can advertise their services subject to AHPRA advertising guidelines. Pharmacies can advertise therapeutic products subject to TGA advertising guidelines.

We did not previously enforce these guidelines as we thought OzBargain is an marketing medium and we were not an advertiser. But TGA (and by extension AHPRA) considered otherwise, and we were forced to do their job for them.

  • Are you allowed to drive with " medical" cannabis in your system?

    • +2

No, it's one of the main reasons we don't typically prescribe it. It really is a last resort type option.

      • Thanks
        @FreddyMerc

    • nope, unless you live in Tassie

    • No. Victoria is doing a trial at the moment.

AFAIK it is THC, though I'm no lawyer and very much could be wrong.

Not all products have THC in them.

      • +1

Yes its the THC - Australia's driving laws prohibit anyone with any amount of tetrahydrocannabinol

  • Never heard of this company. I know of many others, most have a cheaper (some $0) consult fee. The discount would all depend on the product itself (price, quality, wether or not they offer pharmacy choice etc)

    • They said I could technically use any pharmacy. Though it was difficult to get my local one to do it, they needed documents, which Telegreen provided, but there was still some issue on the pharmacy end.

Then they sent me to Honalee which has a script site bunch of pharmacies and one was local.

Does puff the magic dragon still live in Honalee?

        • Seems like it hahaha

  • Initial Wight Loss Consultation

I have a personal ethos to never use professional services that have landing pages with spelling mistakes. If you lack the care in an initial presentation to a potential customer what else might be missed in their health care?

      It's an exorcism service!

  • Good idea if you are a FIFO Worker or maybe Senior Business Analyst (Contract)
