Not worth it - just pay for GamePass and play it until you're bored. It'll be far cheaper.

I'm not saying the game is bad, but for the GamePass price, you can play it for a month or two for less than half this price and I almost guarantee you'll be done with it by then.

Yes just buy it for $20 in a few months if anyone wants physical. Is there anyone that owns an Xbox but doesn't have GP? There shouldn't be a rush to buy physical

Agree. I got bored so quickly, despite the fact I've been wanting a space-based open-world RPG like this since I first played Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

But there's just nothing that get's me excited about this game, and after only a few hours I was basically done with it. There's just nothing I find compelling about it.

      • For a game that's called Star field. You barely even explore the "field of stars" lmao. Actually you even have to go out of your way just to do it or you just point and click to your next destination lol.

Great game but agree, i got quite advanced in it, but found myself getting a bit bored and haven't played it for a few weeks. As others have said, wait for it to discount further and jump on it.

  • Got it, put 4 days worth in.
got tired of glitches and the constant travelling, loading screens and repetitive gameplay.

Feels like only 5 types of weapons all slightly different

might play it again when i retire

I really, really, really.. lol! wanted to like this game. I loved Fallout 4. My all time favourite game, so the idea of essentially Fallout in space?! Holy shit-balls! But, I dunno, Starfield just misses the mark. A lot of that can probably be patched, but it seems that a lot of the missions are fight then fetch. Not the discovery of stumbling on a bunker in the middle of a junkyard with a story, or getting the shit scared out of me in the glowing sea, or going through a cave only to find myself stumbling into blackreach. There’s just none of that. Most of the exploring on the planet is generated so it’s just, well, much of the same shit, over and over. Or a pirate base is just the same. Base building sucks, that there isn’t infinite storage on a base is extremely annoying.

As a massive Bethesda nerd and fan I’m not shitting on this game, but so much of the game is done better by games like no man’s sky, or other Bethesda titles. But, it may just be a matter of time to fix those issues.

What pissed me off massively was just how much hype there was for this - that it was in development for god knows how long, that it was ground breaking, blah blah blah.

I put 75+ hours into this game. I wanted so bad to like it. I waited ages for the release….now i own a PS5 and realise how little the xbox ecosystem offers this generation..

  • Counter opinion, I've put about 160 hours in & still happily going. It's a fun game

  • Lol i love only +3 votes

    • I mean, it's $80 for a standard edition on the platform that has Game Pass on it. It's only a "bargain" in the absolutely most generous sense possible.
Now, if it were $30 or $20…

      • 100% agree. Its a game I was so looking forward to. Its just funny cause Bethesda built it up so big and on OzBargain it only get 3 votes.

They 100% knew it wouldn't land the way they sold it. A podcast with Lex Friedman just before launch, Todd Howard said some interesting things that made me start thinking it wasnt what it was sold as
