This looks like 2022 model from last year but yeah at RRP it did not make sense either.
3080Ti + 6900H in 14 inch chasis… interesting
The GPU is capped at 100w
If only it had upgradable RAM, or at least 32GB built in RAM. 16GB just not good enough at this price point.
You might be surprised, but the 1899$ (+cashback) Legion Slim 14' with a 4060 is all round better (screen, cpu, etc) and only in gpu-bound games/workloads was it a bit inferior to the gimped 3080ti here. Check out jarrods review of the 22' blade 14 here and the 23' slim 14 here. He does the same test categories for both, so you can scroll to the part you want to compare against and check it out yourself.
Only if you wanted the 16gb vram for, I guess stable diffusion on the go? Is it worth a deal, otherwise a easy pass.
Or that you really liked that cnc build, which no other gaming laptops get, but that also lead to a much higher battery bloat occurance on razer blades.
Why get this when I could get a MacBook with 8 GB of ram for the same money.
better to get Legion 7 i9-13900HX RTX4080 32GB 240Hz $3109 after Cashrewards
It’s not exactly fair to compare a 14” laptop with a 16" laptop. The former is portable while the latter is not. There’s also a significant difference in both footprint and weight.
Agreed, though Legion 14 seems to be much better value in the 14" range
I also found the screen to be particularly dull on the Razer Blade 14. The keyboard was a nuisance to use as there was no travel. The area the Blade comes out on top however is build quality - the Legion Slim looks quite tinny in comparison.
i can't believe they still have that thanos chin bezel. was shopping for a gaming laptop, liked the specs of the Razer back then but can't get over the design.
Rrp from God knows when
