Pretty decent prices for a quality product. There are other sizes on sale:

    S - 50 litres - from $159.00 - https://rushfaster.com.au/products/the-north-face-small-base…
    M - 71 litres - $188.97 - https://rushfaster.com.au/products/the-north-face-medium-bas…
    L - 95 litres - from $185.97 - https://rushfaster.com.au/products/the-north-face-large-base…
    XL - 132 litres - $230.97 - https://rushfaster.com.au/products/the-north-face-extra-larg…
    XXL - 150 litres - $244.97 - https://rushfaster.com.au/products/the-north-face-xxl-base-c…

    • Meh Amazon had the XL for sub-200 a few weeks back and cheaper for smaller sizes.

Can also usually find it cheaper from overseas merchants but rarely more than 10 in stock at a time.

Also TNF is a totally milked out company. Used to make great gear now it’s just average (but still expensive af)

        • Fakes too

          • @ATangk: Yep I’ve got one authentic one and have bought a few fakes when traveling OS to countries like Vietnam and Cambodia. Pretty sure I paid $220 for the authentic one in Japan a decade ago and never paid over $20 USD for a fake.

One fake the zipper broke but two fakes are still going strong. There’s hardly any difference between the authentic and fakes…

        • Eh, their summit series stuff holds up quite well.

          • @wittyusername: Yes of course summit series is better than the normal range. But it’s still often inferior to most equivalent top of the line pieces from other reputable brands.

Best mountain clothing I’ve got right now is from La sportiva (unrivalled when it comes to boots and shoes), Karpos and Salewa. Not easy to find in Australia unfortunately

        $25 for a Cantabury one.

"Cantabury"? Might explain why it's so cheap… 🤣

@M00Cow: Shhhh. You'll upset the "I pay $1000 for a bag this is a bargain" crowd. Lol.

              @Fredorishi: Katmandu, Anaconda, too.

@M00Cow: Actually this is one of the very rare occasions where I will actually argue that point.

As someone who travels with hiking/climbing/riding gear a lot domestically and internationally the TNF base camp duffel is actually amazingly tough and reliable.

I've had 3 duffels of similar brands and use and the TNF is actually holding up the best. It was the most expensive, but the stitching on the zipper of my other duffel is wearing out. The 600 denier bag got a hole in it and isn't trustworthy.

The majority of TNF products are overpriced subpar garbage, but the duffel is great.

  • I have s, m, and l. In hindsight I wish id gone straight for the medium rather than up sizing every year.

Use them for work. L is huge, use it for my winter/snow gear

I have both this and the mountain design cheap equivalent. Mountain designs is actually better than TNF
