Curious as to whether anyone has any insights into whether US listed FBA items get advertised on the Australian site as "Sold by Amazon US"
With the Australian site, I know it is clear who is selling, but I have never noticed any products listed on prime international as being sold by anyone other than Amazon US. Further, the product I am looking at in particular: https://www.amazon.com.au/Clinique-Superbalanced-MakeUp-Vani… doesn't really sit right with me.
I can't seem to find this product sold by Amazon US on amazon.com, the description is a bit odd, and most importantly it is a product that is suspectable to counterfeiting. Am I safe buying this from Amazon, or is it possible that this is a 3rd party seller?
I can't speak to that particular item, but here's a quick read about how you can encounter possible fakes, even from the official store. I encountered this term after people posted on Reddit about receiving tampered hardware wallet packaging with pre-generated seed phrases.
Unless The store has in place a 3rd party seller protection meaning that only that particular store can sell the item on Amazon, comingled inventory is a possibility.
