Is it ok for readong, when used on low-med brightness settings? Pros and cons?
That's what I use it for, mounted on my tripod as a reading night light. The lantern can ramp up from low to high brightness and has configurable settings within it's UI. You can also change colour tint in the UI settings.
Only downside I have from this lantern is it's fairly heavy for a compact unit and the rubber waterproofing gasket on the charging port can break off easily. Other than that it's a fairly robust lantern with very good 18650 batteries and performance.

Might be cheaper during Black Friday sales. I paid ~$8 a year or so ago. Definitely worth it if you use the lamp for camping or travel with it.
These don't use aa batteries right? So you would need to buy a special replacement battery, where would we buy it from, aliexpress?
Edit: i just realised this one is rechargeable but another model requires rechargeable batteries
These come with 18650 rechargable batteries. The included Sofirn branded one are fairly good.
Great lantern. Used it as a bedside night light set up with a tripod for years now. Battery lasts for a fortnight and can ramp up or down to suit different environments. Paid ~$80 AUD at the time and well worth the money.
