Ordered some Maltesers of Amazon, saved $10. Anyway 18 days for Delivery and they turned up like this.
Jumped on the Amazon returns last night and these turned up just now.

The second photo definitely looks a lot better. I'd still eat the first photo though. But imaging buying it as a gift, leaving it sealed, and the person gets all melted chocolate.
I'll chuck the first lot in a blender for a whizz and the kids can put it on Ice Cream.
HealthyFather of the Year!
yea i love ordering perishable food from Amazon
Just contact Amazon CS and get a refund.
Better put the effort in to do that.
That’s the funny thing, OP already contacted Amazon CS and they sent a new one. The issue is resolved so what is OP trying to achieve by posting here?

The delivery chain to the store (Warehouse - truck - distribution centre - unpacked at store) is better for keeping them upright and temperature controlled than the delivery chain to your door (Warehouse - truck - unpacked at Amazon distribution centre - courier pickup - courier sorting - delivery van).
Amazon can compete on price but this is going to be a risk with heat susceptible products. Not insurmountable, but not something they're really good at dealing with yet.
Are you new to Australia?
Meh ive eaten maltesers which were heated affected and was half white. Still tasted fine
Chocolate melts in the heat. Simple concept no?
So the first lot took 18 days to arrive but the second lot was under 24 hours? Did the first lot go via Hawaii?
mine arrived straight from the driver in a congealed clump of melted chocolate, from the 32 deg day here in Melbourne. Ya think they would use aircon vehicles?
I once had a delivery of very very expensive Thorntons chocolates from the UK. They are high-quality gourmet chocolates and toffees from England. I was not expecting this item as it was a company Christmas gift.
UPS left the box outside the back door which faces north on a thirty-two-degree day. No one arrived home until 5:30 p.m. Consequently the chocolates and toffees were melted and spoiled. I emailed UPS with pictures but it was Thortons who eventually replaced everything.
Ok ???
