Elijah, I think you will find the scoopon deal is only 24 x Mach3 cartridges for $55, 48 for $99, or 24 x Fusion for $95. In fine print, it says "From $55..".
However, I recently bought a big buy of mach3's, and wish I had stuck with the fusion. After using fusion, the mach3 paled in comparison :(

No, that's called a Straight.
The one they are talking about is much like your standard disposable razor, but you put a full blade in the top and use both sides of it…. someone will come along with a link.
I've been using one for about 6 months now. Total shaving bill is about $3 as my dad had the double edge razor and blades sitting around.

DE is a big money saver, and a much better shave for less. In using a DE each day this year, the total spend for me has been around $5 worth of blades.
I'll second that, having just got into double edge safety razors myself. The down sides are the increased time taken shaving, and the expensive set-up (for razor, blades, badger-hair shaving brush, and shave cream) but once you're set up, it's cheap!
On top of that, your skin will thank you. And as corbz mentioned, it gives a better shave too!
