Break the rules and take full-contact racing to the limit with Wreckfest!

Burn rubber and shred metal in the ultimate driving playground!

Wreckfest is jam-packed with upgrade and customization options. Whether you are preparing for your next demolition derby with reinforced bumpers, roll cages, side protectors and much more, or setting your car up for a banger race with engine performance parts like air filters, camshafts, fuel systems, etc., Wreckfest is shaping up to be a great combative motorsport game.

• Unique Racing Experience – Exhilarating no-rules racing action with defining, once-in-a-lifetime moments that can be achieved only with a true-to-life physics simulation. Witness insane neck-to-neck fighting on high-speed circuits, face total destruction madness on crazy courses with intersections and oncoming traffic, or go for demolition dominance in derby arenas.

• Awesome Cars – Our cars are old, banged up, patched together… They ooze style and character! From old American heavy-hitters to agile Europeans and fun Asians, you won’t find anything like this in other games.

• Meaningful Customization – Change not only the look of your cars but also upgrade their body armor – Reinforce them with heavy iron that protects you from damage, but also adds weight, which impacts the cars handling. Modify your car to make a robust tank or a fragile but lightning-fast rocket, or anything in between!

• Multiplayer – Wreck your friends in local multiplayer and take racing to the limit while chasing for demolition dominance!

• Challenge modes – Have hilarious fun with crop harvesters, lawn mowers, school buses, three-wheelers and much more!

• Career Mode – Battle for championships, earn experience, unlock new upgrades and cars, and become the all-time Wreckfest champion!

This game is old (2014) but has never gone below $30 on steam or other platforms. Never knew they had a mobile version🤔

    • +4

me either, If I didnt have a steamdeck i would buy it right now.
      EDIT Bought it

      • I'm thinking it could be a kickass addition to any decent Android based handheld emulator device at that price

    • +2

This game is old (2014) but has never gone below $30 on steam or other platforms

      Really? According to

      https://steamdb.info/app/228380/

On 23 Oct 2023, it was $19.58, which was definitely below $30? And such kind of discount happened 15 times in total.

      • It’s still unusually expensive for such an old game.

Edit does that site do comparisons? I’d love to know what other pc games that were taking money since 2014 have also never gone under $20 to this day

        • +1

I'm shocked you didn't know Steamdb's functions… It literally tells you all historical prices in all regions

          • @Freddies: You’re shocked a random person on ozbargain doesn’t know steamdb’s functions? Does everyone have that knowledge on here in your thinking?

Edit i cant seem to find where to search specifically for games released in 2014 that haven’t dipped below $20 to this day. Seeing as it’s so simple to you, can you tell me how to get these results in the search?

              @Andard: @Andard

You’re shocked a random person on ozbargain doesn’t know steamdb’s functions? Does everyone have that knowledge on here in your thinking?

No, I'm not surprised by that you didn't know it, but shocked by that you still didn't know how to find the historical prices even though I provided the link already. I assumed OZbargainers know how to view a websit without hints but that wasn't the case for you.. there is literally a line chart of historical prices at the bottom of every game you can find on Steamdb.. like bruh… just scroll down a bit?

              https://imgur.com/a/AywIKvu

Seriously, this has nothing with knowledge about a website/service. You just need to be a bit more curious in "internet exploring"😅

Seeing as it’s so simple to you, can you tell me how to get these results in the search?

Bruh… have you tried searching the game by its name on Steamdb, then srolling down the web page link to the bottom and see what is there?

              Lastly -

It’s still unusually expensive for such an old game.

This is because we live in a premium pricing region and publishers love taking advantage of that. USD99 games are probably A$160 here, higher than currency conversations. How to get to a cheaper region? Well, if you ever decide to visit any lower pricing regions such as Turkey, keep your flight ticket and switch your account region during your travel.. Don't try to use a VPN which is bannable

              • -1

@Freddies: Mate you’re still not showing me what I asked for.

You were showing me that you can click on the game and see price history. That is not what I asked.

I would like a search list of results of games as old as 2014 that still retain a lowest price of $20 for this day. A list of games, not one game. I asked this twice. I’m not gonna click through 10,000 games manually to figure this out.

Yes, I know you can use a VPN to change your region and get games cheaper. I would wager that (regardless of region) wreckfest still has an unusually low percentage of depreciation after nine years, compared to other games that old. Percentage wise, not price wise.

                  @Andard:

Didn't you originally have no idea the mentioned game had so many discounts in the past, so that I showed you the link? You literally said its price was never lower than $30 and I simply told you your assumption wasn't true - basically, your original statement was very misleading, making people think this game is likely to be always as high as $30+. I gave you extra information about Steam historical prices for a game, and out of nowhere you become so defensive of your own original wrong comment.

And why would you like to know all old games' current prices and if prices are still the lowest in one go? It's literally a combo of several questions:

                  1. a list of games released in 2014 or earlier on Steam
                  2. the lowest prices of said games are $20

My whole point was you were clueless about lowest prices on Steam, but you suddenly changed the topic to that you wanted to know all lowest prices of any possible games you assumed, as if you're going to buy them all today.

I mean seriously, even if you get such a comparison list, wouldn't you still need to click at least 2,000 links of each game and check if you like them judging by their names and banners?? Ok, let's say you don't care about the prices and just want to buy them all, even Steam doesn't have such a function of adding 2,000 games into your shopping cart by several clicks. Asking an impratical question wouldn't justify your original no knowledge of historical prices for a game on Steam.

The solution? Whenever a game is on current promotion, also including Steam's own sales: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter Sales, go to Steamdb and check if its price is the lowest to buy. You just asked a ridiculous question without any pratical value.

I would wager that (regardless of region) wreckfest still has an unusually low percentage of depreciation after nine years, compared to other games that old.

If you keep changing your arguing point, of course you are unbeatable in any conversation, aren't you?

                  • -1

@Freddies: Lol so the answer is a resounding “No”. The site can’t do that. Thanks for finally clarifying.

Here’s the topics since you’ve now accused me of topic changing:
                    1. I said lowest was $30
                    You said it’s $20
I can’t edit my comment so I responded:
“It’s still unusually expensive for such an old game.”
That is not a topic changing response. It’s a direct response to your information.

2.Then I asked a question about getting a list of search results from the site you mentioned:

“does that site do comparisons? I’d love to know what other pc games that were taking money since 2014 have also never gone under $20 to this day”

to which you replied you can see a games price history.

I said I’d like the list of search results, and you still replied showing me how to get price history for a single game.

YOU then talked about regions and VPN to which I replied regardless of region, it’s likely still low percentage of depreciation. (Is my response here still not on the topic of 1? I was pointing out how unusual such an old game had such a high price)

I’ve responded to your original response, then asked a question that you didn’t answer correctly (twice), then responded to your VPN statement.

                    Who’s changing topics???

                    • @Andard:

                      I said lowest was $30
                      You said it’s $20
I can’t edit my comment so I responded:
“It’s still unusually expensive for such an old game.”

You said $30 because you had no idea what the lowest price was? Not to mention, the <$20 prices happened so many times in the past and your claim was it was never below $30, so 2 faulty points.

I said I’d like the list of search results, and you still replied showing me how to get price history for a single game.

This is how you changed the topic, didn't you? Am I supposed to answer any ridiculous question asked by you or what?

                  • -1

                    @Freddies:

as if you're going to buy them all today.

Also I'll respond to this absolutely stupid assumption - have I not, since the beginning, been saying how unusual it was for such an old game to still be so pricey? So, if I was asking for a list of any other games that fit this criteria, would you not assume I was trying to figure out (for certainty).. you know…. how unusual games fitting that criteria actually was?

But you just thought I wanted to buy a bunch of old games?

Alright I'm done. this is a giant waste of time. People can read what I've written and see what I've actually said instead of going by your dumb misinterpretations.

                    • @Andard:

You didn't intend to buy them all, and you still asked it. Were you trolling or?

Why am I supposed to answer any impratical questions here? Maybe you should learn some programming today and make a script for automation, or pay someone to resolve such a silly request?

People can read what I've written and see what I've actually said instead of going by your dumb misinterpretations.

Poeple can only see you have no idea of the available information of historical prices on Steam and hence you commented the prices was never below $30 which was wrong from the beginning. Not sure how your overwhelming self defence was trigger but you do you.

There is no way wreckfest is 9 years old. It’s about 5 years old on PC and one or two less on consoles

      • It was initially early access as far back as 2014, but yes the final full game release was much later you're right.

      • 4 years early access release. They charged for it back then, so say what you want, but people were buying and playing it in 2014.

  • +1

Awesome game on pc, I haven't played it on mobile. Redneck racing.

  • +1

I have it on an M1 iPad Pro. Plays unreal. Absolute no brainer at this price!

  • Didnt know its available on mobile, play this on Switch and a blast!

  • +1

Apparently had a $1 credit, don't think i ever purchased anything before on play app

    • Me too, bought for $.49c.
Loved this on PC and Xbox.

  • +4

Also TRY3.99 (A$0.22) on Turkiye Apple store, if you have any credit left there.

There’s also an Apple TV app, great to play on bigger screen.

  • What’s with the close to $60 in app purchases?

    • Looks like 6x $5 and 1x $4 IAPs for additional cars, and the 2x $15/$13 bundles probably just grouped them for easy of buying

Not sure how many cars are included without IAPs

      • Looks like the same DLC is available for PlayStation and Steam and stuff. So I bought it. It came with my PS+ and I kinda liked it, but I don't subscribe anymore so this is as good a way to get back into as any.

  • Love this game! Totally worth paying $1.49 to play on my phone.

  • +1

Oh neat, is this what the Next Car Game demo turned in to? I have been waiting for the game to come out!

  • Damn what a deal!
    Love this game on PC.
    Bought straight away!

  • Thanks OP. Played this a fair but on the PS5, but would be cool to play portable on my iPad 12.9-inch M2

  • +1

    Plays on Apple TV too!

    • Which is why I just bought it! :)

  • Paid with google dollars. Gonna see if all you guys say is worth it.

    • Is it good?

  • +1

Just got it for my old 2018 ipad pro, works perfect!

  • Excellent game

  • Paid full price a month ago, no regrets at all. Great game.

  • What graat value!

  • +1

Great game, best played with controller.

    • What controller do you recommend?

      • I've got a ps4 and Bluetooth connect, don't need to program layout etc.

  • +3

They had me at 'fun asian's'👀

  • damn, game isn't listed on Mac AppStore was hoping for apple silicon native version

  • thanks got it

  • This game just reminds of the lad from YouTube who makes great content playing this and NASCAR. "WHO ME" "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME"

  • Purchased and really impressed with the port! Runs better and has faster load times than the PS4 version.

  • +2

i bought it because of you guys lol better be good :)

    • What you gonba do to us if it isn't? 🙃

      • Apple usually refunds money with a quick request. Ideally within one or two days of buying the app.

        • Your logical and sound response is unwelcomed here. Get out. 👉

      • Oh man I did the download (iOS) and I’m a Bit dissapointed.. there’s literally no one playing multiplayer so basically it’s only playable for the single player :(

I was hoping to play multiplayer with people lol

  • Does it work on mac book air m1

    • tried isn't listed in the Mac App Store

they've obviously gone to effort to port to M1 doesn't take much more to bring it to apple silicon desktop

  • I love this game on PC. Have been playing it a little bit using GEForce Now on my iPad for the last few months whilst being away from home - it works fairly well using that system. At this price I'll have a go using the native iPad/iPhone app to see if there's any difference.

  • +1

Cool game but bloody hell it's massive. Had to delete a lot of photos to fit it on 🤓

    • +1

It is pretty big, around 5GB (1GB initial download, and then almost 4GB subsequent after you start it)

  • Would rec. bumping the difficulty up to hard on this one.

  • party is over?

    • Still says 1.49 for Android and iOS for me.

  • +1

I paid 180 inr ages ago on my iPad and I thought that was a deal. $1.49 no brainer

  • i didnt' even know this was on ios lol now I have RE8 and this hehe.

  • Great mobile port, already bought it on iOS when it first came out. Bought it on android to support the devs.

  • Google TV and Xbox controller fine?
    Sounds good for $1.49

  • Just bought it. Never enjoyed any mobile games, but this is more fun then I thought it would be. Controls are responsive.
