    Hey smoothsaler ….

I enter my aussie Postcode for freight estimate and get
    Standard NZ Shipping - $15.00
    Express NZ Shipping - $20.50

Even with devalued Kiwi dollars its no deal.

Aussie dollars at ebay and its inc shipping

    AUD $5.45

I think you need a better broom

    • Please use the checkout calculator, having issues with the freight estimator.

  • In-Stock - Leaves Melbourne warehouse in 1-2 business days.

Why is the shipping labelled as "standard NZ shipping"?

This is a great accessory for those with Optus

  • +1

Shows as $7.95 shipping to Melbourne. There is no way that these are worth that much.
OP would be better giving them away at Flinders St Station.

  • FYI, standard shipping to Melbourne is $7.95 for both, so $8.93 total

You have to expect that when you're living in your own state 'of mind'!

  • These were given out for free during the matches, I have few when I went to the cricket match, good luck making money from something that was given for free!!!

    • +3

It's 98c for 2 units….how much money do you think we make?

      • +4

They were FREE buddy, you are going to make 98c for two.

        • +1

Transport from match to warehouse. Storage at warehouse. Marketing.

          These things add up!!

          • @askbargain: OP could have saved money by taking them straight to the tip and pay the tip fees.

        • +8

They also sold these at the Aus Open for money - does that make them still free?
We did not get them for free, they're a product we purchased and are now reselling.
Just like when you sometimes get a free Mars Bar a the trainstation, does that mean convenience stores should hand them out for free? SMH

  • Unfortunately no deal- Non Registered mail via Aupost would be approx $1.20.

If there's no tracking then there's no way to tell if customers receive their products.
Opens up the door for fraud.

      • +6

        98 cents. I think you're overthinking this.

        • +1

          FYI.

An order is made on a customer's credit card.
Customer claims to never have received it.
Customer opens a chargeback with the credit card provider.
Credit card provider puts amount on hold (98c + shipping fee).
Credit card provider charges business between $25-50 chargeback fee.
Wages are paid for the employee who has to reply to the chargeback request - 10 minutes = $4.60.

Not as straight forward as you'd hope.

          • +2

@ArcherVice: Again, either give them away at Flinders St Station, or take them to the tip. Problems solved.

            • @GG57: I agree, give them away as a marketing opportunity for your business

@fj123 "Unfortunately no deal- Non Registered mail via Aupost would be approx $1.20."

Not sure where your getting your facts from but a Large letter costs $2.40 and is restricted to 20mm thick and 125 grams. If this item weights more than this then the cost is $3.60 which is 250g with a max width of 20mm. (highly doubt this item is less than 2cm.)

This is the reason why a lot of aussie ebayers cannnot compete with China who can send a letter larger than those dimensions for peanuts delivered to your door all the way from China for less than what it would cost to post something to your next door neightbour.

It's the reason why a lot of them lie about their location on ebay.

Thanks for your valuable feedback and giving me an detailed insight into the relevant charges acc to domensions of package. Completely agree with your observation and recommendation. A lot of time Aussie ebay sellers post such items as the same dimension as this particular fan by sticking $1.20 and it gets through every time without incurring additional charges so thats what I was referrin to .

  • bargain, 2 fans for 1 onlyfan.

    the shipping kills this deal

i reckon they got these bulk from Ali Baba for like 20cent per unit and now trying to flog them off

  • +2

Put your company sticker on them and hand out for free - free marketing, and you could make more money by getting more customers to buy something else

  • +3

I'm not a fan of the shipping costs.

    • And he thought it was going to be a Smooth sale :-P

      • +1

Almost out so Smooth enough :-P

  • The adaptors are worth more than the fan… and shipping cost kills the deal

  • Upvoting for the Tomic reference.
