If the price is the same for an old Google Pixel 6 and a New Motorola G54, would you buy a 2-year-old pixel or get a recent Motorola Phone? Specs-wise both are same.

I'm guessing the camera may be better on the pixel if that's a priority to you.

Specs are NOT the same. Pixel 6 runs the latest Android 14, OLED screen, Better Cameras, Wireless Charging. You are comparing a 2 years old Toyota Corolla with a brand new MG 5….they are similar in size but different is other aspects (transmission, power, safety techs.)
The only drawback for a used phone is warranty….and Pixel is more like a VW than Toyota in reliability.
A G54 is under $300. Is a decent quality refurb pixel 6 in that same price range? Doesn't seem to be.
If you can tolerate the fingerprint scanner then go for Pixel 6
