Hi guys was looking through the clearance list for MSY and came along this, not bad if you happen to have a spare LGA1156 mobo lying around. Staticice doesn't give many other suppliers to compare to but it's significantly cheaper compared to anywhere else - http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=G6950&spos=3
imo, if you don't already have a LGA1156 mobo spare you're probably better off going for an LGA1155 and paying 10$ extra to get a Celeron G540 (2nd gen) http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_listnew.phtml?id=10&id2… as the performance will be pretty similar save for maybe gaming where cache size makes a difference.
Quick rundown on stats:
1st Gen Core architecture
Dual core clocked at 2.8GHz
3MB L3 Cache
Have to admit given the above this deal won't be for everyone but it's still not bad value imo and would make for an alright cheap computer.
Edit: Looking through the PDF more also found this:
Benq G2025HD 5ms 1600x900 DVI LCD Monitor - 79$
This deal previously posted http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80929 was recieved pretty well and this screen offers pretty similar specs.
Patriot PYRO Sanforce SF-2281 120GB SATA3 SSD Solid State Drive $85
Patriot PYRO Sanforce SF-2281 240GB SATA3 SSD Solid State Drive $165
Prices @ MSY Clayton (VIC) and Auburn (NSW).
They're $185 at Centrecom. Looking at reviews, they're about even with OCZ vertex 3 drives. I've never used a Patriot drive personally so I can't comment on reliability, still seems like a decent price if you're near clayton.
Thanks OP!
