Gaming PC from Hardly Normal

I found this listing when browsing for some stuff to buy from a gift card I got from HN.

This listing in particular is very amusing….

There is a review from 3 months ago raving about it.

  • Idk I did have a few customers back in the day who knew nothing better and were ready to splash out 3-5k for a ‘premium’ read: expensive as commercially available cookie cutter build.

Judging by the content of the review they probably didn’t know any better either and just happy minesweeper running at 240fps

Damn, review from 3 months ago. Poor Kayla.

Fantastic system runs programmes smooth as butter perfect price for what I'm after

One computer store I visited had a sign saying non-technical users should not shop there.

This is also true for Hardly Normal as I have heard many stories where they push users to buy obsolete or overpowered systems.

That price is a little more palatable although the GPU is from 2019. The advert is kinda true though because it might be ok for e-sports titles on low res settings.

  • It's gone now. Looks like HN have permanent OzB watcher :)

    • WOW that's amazing. Maybe it's AI?

  • What was it? Let me guess…… it was an over-priced, under-spec'd PC via Harvey Norman, likely signed off by Dodgy Gerry himself?

    • asus rog pre built

      • Oh true it's back again, when I clicked on it, it went to a 'Whoops you may the wrong URL' BS on Harvey Norman's website

      Was advertised for $2.3k.

Kayla commented saying it was the bees knees just 3 months ago.

      • Dodgy Gerry never ceases to amaze me (in a negative way). The sad thing is people will likely buy it from HN thinking it's a great deal….

  • I bought two. thanks…

definitely some older SKU that’s been left on the website to clear out aged stock.
