Wow! Was looking for another car racing game to flog the children with (because they smack talk their father about how good they are at racing games) so another virtual racing butt kicking was in order… Thought I would give the LEGO 2K Drive a go because who not, I like my LEGO and I like beating kids in car racing games, especially when they talk the talk, but seldom walk the walk…

Good news is that Switch and Xbox Series X versions are on sale for the low lot price of $39 delivered, but PS4 ($57) and PS5 ($68) versions, while cheaper then RRP, are not the same low low price…

It says that these are the digital versions (code in box), but from what I have been led to understand is that even in the physical copy of the game, you get the plastic case, but there is only a download code inside, there is no disc or cartridge. Can anyone who has it confirm or deny??

  Yes you all get plastic boxes because there's Lego pieces to build a Lego car.

  I read some early reviews saying it was very much pay to win, with all sorts of micro transactions. I wonder if that's still the case?

  Microtransactions in this sound terrible. Cars cost 10,000 in-game bux, and from the reviews I've read you're looking at grinding for well over 12 hours to reach that.

  This has been clearly designed for kids to get frustrated and beg their parents to drop real world money to unlock cars. Save yourself the nagging and don't buy it I reckon.

  I enjoyed trial demo. Its like family friendly version of GTA V.
