    At one point Brisbane had amazing prices to Hawaii (and LA) - now you have to fly through other cities - and it's more expensive that Hobart

    Speaking from experience, I would not got with this mob
    Multiple delays, poor communication, check in staff had no idea

      It's all random. I've gone a few times on Jetstar and not had a single delay.

        And that's one of the main problems. It's random….

        You don't want the airline you are flying with to have random problems…

          True, easier said than done though. Qantas for example has been highly erratic with cancellations, delays, changing aircraft moving people around, losing luggage etc. On never seen before scale trashing their brand. Hawaiin should be more reliable but read of some problems there too. It's been an absolute crap shoot since covid. On the plus side, they finally all seem to be gradually improving.

    Hawaii is stupid expensive at the moment with the lacklustre aussie dollar, accommodation, activity and dining price hikes.

      good point. and i would say that the USD is strong, AUD isn't doing too bad vs other currencies I believe. so no trips to the US for a while I reckon

    Nice deal.

    But to be honest, we went to Hawaii last December, quite disappointed with its Waikiki beach, I saw so many wonder beaches in QLD and NSW which can easily beat Hawaii’s.

    Restaurants are crazy like robberies for 20% tips and you will get a street Koisk level service like you will have in Syd/Mel.

    The only good thing I can think of is the Outlet, crazy price for good brand stuffs.

      Hawaii's best beaches, like here, are not on the tourist strip. Sure its nice enough when not busy, but your right, we are spoiled for beaches in Aus. Go to a tourist trap…. experience a tourist trap. Is what it is everywhere. Hawaii has some stunning beaches if you get out and about, i personally love Kauai Island, but the other islands have great spots too.
