Buy 3, Get 4th Tyre Free (Potenza & Ecopia) @ Bridgestone

350

This deal is on again, for Potenza and Ecopia tyres. Looks like it's until the end of the month.

Sadly not Turanza this time around, I've just ticked over 50k kms on my set of Serenity plus as guaranteed so can attest to them being a good tyre. But alas.

  • Quote for 4 EcopiaH/L 001 tyres fitted and aligned for $702. Unsure if worth it, any people with experience that can comment on value? Also is balancing worth the extra cost?

    • +4

      What size are they?
And balancing should always be included with fitting any tyres.

Is this ever not being offered?

    • Yes last month it was not. month prior to that it was ecopia and turanza.

      • +1

Can confirm it was running last month. I bought 4 x Potenza Sport and got 1 free.

      • Have you tried the Ecopia EP300s? If you have, can you compare them with the Turanza Serenity Plus?

I'll be switching from a set of Michelin Primary 3 STs, so would like something that's comparable to those. The Michelins are so bloody smooth to drive with.

my 2011 accord came with ep300s when i bought it, ran them for about a yr then replaced with turanza serenity plus.
so they were pretty worn, at that point a pretty average tyre.
the serenity plus' have been great - genuine reduction in road noise when new, decent grip (not especially in wet weather, but better in both dry/wet than ecopias)
main thing is theyve lasted ages - currently at about 54k kms with them, and theyve still got 4-5mm tread. rotated annually.
interesting quirk that ive noticed is that they hold air really well - even after 3 yrs they dont seem to drop psi when i check every 1-2 to even 4 weeks.

@Gdsamp: That's good to hear. Annoyed I missed out on the serenity plus deal before now as I kind of badly need to replace my front two tyres (would still replace all 4 though).

  • Hopefully my car has 50% off sale this year, might be worth waiting

  • Should have pulled the trigger a week back when Turanza was on discount. Anyone knows how frequently they (Turanzas) go on special?

    • Are Turanza the most durable?

      • +1

Not sure, but from anecdotal responses from various people, people are happy with them.

    Lol ok 1k for 225 55 18 ecopia

    • +3

Same for 225/45/17 only in potenzas. Just wait for the black friday 50% off Pirellis @ Mycar

Yeah, I did the Pirelli deal last year. It also entitles you to free balancing and puncture repairs for the life of the tyres…I honestly don't know how they make money.

I think most people would forget.

        • Also rotations. But yeah I got mine Nov 2020 and fitted in March 2021. Just had 2 puncture repairs done actually.

  • I only need to change 2 types . I guess it would just be worthwhile to pay for 1 more tyre and get all 4 changed?

  • is Potenza Sport any good for casual track days? I took my PS5 to the track it was ok but definitely cook very easily.

not considering semislicks at this point in time, too loud for daily use.

    • Get the Pilot Sport 4S, especially if youre doing casual track days.

      • PS4S is too expensive for 9.5J wheels (255/35/18).. they cost as much as semislicks like AD09 i think.

so just trying to find an option that's better and around the same price as PS5 atm that could do casual track days whilst doesn't suck as a daily. PS4S is quite a loud tyre too.

        • I think the closest they get is 265/35/18 but have a look at the Hankook Ventus R-S4. Good wear characteristics, not super noisy and cheap (relatively speaking).
Have run them in a different rim size for endurance racing and on a road car as well and they are fantastic.
