Even without HN this isn't really a great deal that you should rush out and grab it, you are basically paying full price and not even getting a watch or buds in the deal.
I would wait for something better, Pixels don't hold their value so paying full price sucks even more when you see them for half the price in less than a year.

Need real privacy - get Pixel and put GrapheneOS on it. Apple isn't much better, and it collects just a little less telemetry than Google. They also use that data for targeted ads, you're just switching walled gardens.

Sure but Apple has its own issues and they are both bad for privacy. Apple is completely closed source as well. At least ASOP is open source and you can strip out the google stuff if you want to on android and strangely enough the pixel is the best candidate to do it on.
