Tried to activate a Coles mobile SIM. It required a Visa card for ID verification. I entered a prepaid Visa card but the system didn’t accept it saying something like “only Australian credit card is accepted”. Has anyone encountered the same issue? Is there a way around it?
But there is no option to enter driver’s license for ID check.

Talked to their tech support. Prepaid credit can't be used for ID verification. Just had to use my debit card and it's all good now. Still don't understand why the system restricts it to Visa and debit cards only.
it's for ID verification purposes. any australian bank card that is in your name should work. a prepaid card has no name associated with it.
Same with amaysim, it’s either that or use your drivers license for the ID check.
