VA panel, I don't know enough about those, however, TomsHardware says:

    Pros
    + Contrast
    + Accurate color
    + 144 Hz
    + FreeSync & G-Sync
    + Accurate sRGB mode
    + Value

    Cons
    - No USB ports
    - No speakers
    - Less bright than others in its class

So I'm gonna say "That's pretty good for that price!".
And it being Amazon, it's "eligible for change of mind returns within 30 days of receipt", so there's that.

    Curved Gaming Monitor - $257

How many of these would you need to complete a circle of monitors?

    • +2

1500R means a 9425mm circumference circle, with the dimensions in the description you would need at least 16 monitors to form a full circle, though there would be some overlap.

    • +5

      Curvature: 1500R
      Width: 612.37mm

      2π1500/612.37 = 15.39

  • What's is your thoughts on below compared to this AOC.
Viewsonic, 2K, 27", IPS panel, $299, non curved.
Yes, it entirely different features. But I am tossing on those two.

  • Never tried a 1440p panel before, does 1080p video and gaming look that bad on a 1440p panel? cause 1080p doesn't scale directly to 1440p I'm worried the 1080p movies would look quite bad.

Well, that depends on your game/movie player. With a modern AI upscaler, upscaling to 1440 can sometimes look better than 1440 native. There is a video demonstrating a couple of modern upscalers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5B_dqi_Syc

I would worry more about the aspect ratio of you monitor. A clever upscaler still can't change the physical dimensions of your monitor.
