Hey fellow OzBargain,
I'm currently in a bit of a dilemma and would love your thoughts. I've been using an iPhone 11 for a while now and think it's time for an upgrade. I've narrowed it down to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. My main goal is to capture some stunning photos on my upcoming trip to Japan next month.
Here's the catch:
iPhone 14 Pro Max: $1,400
iPhone 15 Pro Max: $2,000
While I'd love to have the latest and greatest, the $600 difference is substantial. Is the camera (and other features) of the iPhone 15 Pro Max significantly better to justify the additional cost? Especially for someone keen on photography? Or would the 14 Pro Max suffice?
Any insights, especially from those who have experience with both models, would be immensely appreciated.
I upgrade every year - this year I went from the 14 Pro to the 15 Pro Max. The main difference between the two models is the 5x Optical zoom, which I find I use a lot more than I thought I would. If you don't upgrade very often, I would spring for the top of the line which will keep you going for an extra year. Especially as you have an interest in photography, I would recommend the 15 Pro Max.
Ultimately though both models are fairly similar, and both would give you excellent photos :-)
