I’m trying to ascertain why Amaysim offer 5G services the way they do?
If I use 5G I’m capped at 100mbps download, but on 4G, where I live I get 250-400, switching to 5G seems to be a waste 99% of the time.
Even in areas where I get slow 4G the 5G is either non existent or even slower. Kinda seems like a waste.
Thank
Amaysim are owned by Optus now, and fill the gap at the low end of the market.
They need to artificially create a difference between contracting directly with Optus, rather than them, so they cap speeds and place restrictions you could avoid if you went with Optus directly, and paid the higher price.
