    this isn't gochujang. while that is a smashing price for the fermented chili paste from heaven, this hot sauce is a completely different thing

      This spicy gochujang tastes just like Samyang ramen sauce. I've yet to determine which one is spicier.

  OP - Are the 3x spicy ramen, 3x the heat of the hot chicken flavour? I can barely do those black packet ones and I kinda dig hot food.

    I've not tried the black ones, only 2x and 3x (both reddish packets). You can definately taste the difference between these 2 though.

    I don't even know what "3x" hotter even means…(unless you are directly comparing scoville units or something!). :)

    I would think of it as "hot" "hotter" "hottest" rather than any kind of numerical heatness multiplier! :)

    I havent had the black ones for a long time, but from memory the 3x are hotter. I don't really find either of them that hot - I usually dump a whole bunch of extra 3x sauce from the bottle into the 3x noodle. But I think my tolerance is relatively high.

  $6.50 is the standard price at Tong Li in Liverpool NSW (and likely other ones too I'm assuming), and $5.90 a bottle at the Korean store at the top of Lidcombe Shopping Centre for anyone looking locally.

  I've only tried the black one, but this hot sauce brand is great. Highly recommend.
